Go Bucks
Good news as far as I'm concerned. I hope this one plays out for a while.

Top prospects
Trey DePriest (Springfield, Ohio/South)
Ht.: 6-1 | Wt.: 225 pounds | Stars: 4 | OLB rank: 2 | ESPNU 150 rank: 35
College: Undecided
The Ohio native made a case for the top spot, and like Anthony, he first impresses you with his every-down play and keen instincts. The No. 3-rated prospect in Ohio is versatile, athletic and one of the best at pursuing downhill through trash. He isn't very flashy, but he covers the field with excellent production.
Making up ground on DePriest?
Ohio State Buckeyes
Four-star LB Trey DePriest of Ohio (No. 32 in the ESPNU 150) is believed to be a pretty strong Alabama lean, despite his home state and longstanding friendship with four-star QB (and Ohio State commit) Braxton Miller.
But Bucknuts.com says that a source "in the middle of the DePriest dance" hears that DePriest is "is cooling on Alabama and giving Ohio State renewed consideration." Supposedly, the Buckeyes are selling the Play at Home card in an attempt to sway DePriest.
DePriest's recruitment will still have its twists and turns before it is over (keep in mind the last time Bucknuts weighed in on DePriest, there was talk that he was already a soft verbal to the Tide). But at the moment, the source says that the feeling inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center is that "DePriest is trending (Ohio State's) way."

Trey DePriest evaluation
"This is an all-over-the-field guy; lines up in a variety of alignments, either on the L.O.S., walked off or as an inside backer in a run/pass blitzing mode. Demonstrates very good quickness; can pursue laterally and support off the edge; is quick to the outside with the ability to work through traffic. Displays very good blitz timing; can fill front or backside with the quickness to beat blockers through gaps or take on and defeat offensive lineman. Can come off the edge, beat blocks with the low center of gravity and balance necessary to squeeze the off tackle play. This is a solid wrap tackler; has good balance in space and will punish the ball carrier when given the opportunity. Has a very good motor with excellent pursuit habits. We like his quick up field surge as an edge pass rusher; can beat offensive linemen with quickness and good change of direction moves while putting tremendous pressure on the QB with a great finishing burst."
Great post, I agree.Oh8ch;1728429; said:I would love to see DePriest take about four more visits to Alabama. The more time spent there the more clear it becomes that Alabama is not "home" for an Ohio kid.
