Trev's OSU comment during halftime of Akron vs. Marshall

Does anyone disagree that this year has been a huge disappointment?

So far, but we have three games to go. Should we run the rest of the conference table and then win a Jan 1st bowl game, then 9-3 with a win over Michigan still would be quite the good year, especially recovering from our first three-game losing streak in five years and only the second such streak in 16 years.

i agree that we are a disappointment, but dont think for a second trev had us in his top 5. or that he regarded us as anything other than overrated. hes only pumping us up so he can drop us farther

I can't believe in all this defense of Trev, no has pointed out that he used his "biggest disapointment of the year" just to pick on Ohio State. Seriously, this guy has had it out for the Buckeyes for the last 3 years, so even though there must be "some" validity to his comment, there isn't any doubt in my mind that Trev wasn't concerned about giving a real opinion. It was his chance to knock the Buckeyes again. Shit, there are equal arguments you could make about LSU, Florida, or even Florida State. He could have mentioned the collapeses at Minnesota and Purdue. Or how about the Big 12 North, the biggest joke in the country. But no, he chooses Ohio State - and it's because his disdain for us put us over the top.

You called them the most overrated team all year until they lost. Both you and Mark said they, and the Big 10, were overrated.
That sounds like an accurate comment.

I don't like the guy, but he's right on. Look--USC is still #1, OU is still #2, Miami just took their first loss, FSU just took their 2nd, Georgia's still #8. What other top 10 team's taken such a fall from grace?

Go Trev go... keep your hot streak alive. Tell us about K-State and how bad they've been.

it IS accurate soul....which is the problem. you cant be both the most overrated AND biggest disappointment. unless youre trev and want to piss off the buckeye fans so they get on their message boards and bitch about him. and write him emails so he can show all his douchebag coworkers how dumb ohio state fans are.

I follow the Woody policy when discussing this "objectivity-challenged" individual. He wants us to talk about his opinions and knows that we have the largest alumni pool in the country.

We started the season ranked #9 and few people thought that we were not over-rated due to the number of good players who went to the pros and the unproven quarterback situation.

Yeah, we're disappointed. The losses to Northwestern and especially to Iowa, give us a real reason to be so. But what about LSU, Kansas State, Missouri, Notre Dame. Oh yeah, and what about Nebraska!

Most disappointed. I don't think so.

Beat MSU and Purdue and we'll catch LSU in the rankings. Beat UM and we'll be #12 or #13. And if that happens we can count on this guy to ignore it all. And what makes us think this guy has any friends?

I think we have done worse than everyone expected, but looking back on the season now things are starting to fall into perspective a little bit. We are indeed reloading this year, and while I think we could win out it will take a lot of hard work to do so.

Northwestern does not seem to be a joke, and so they aren't as big of a blunder as it seemed when we lost to them.

Clearly Wisconsin is a player in this conference, and had that whistle not prevented the fumble from being ruled in our favor, we may have beaten them.

So I would say only the Iowa game was a horrendous loss. The others are not enjoyable, but I think we could have come out of Wisconsin with a victory with that fumble recovery (momentum-wise), and been 7-2 at this point, which is not bad considering the lack of experienced talent on OL/DL.
