Try getting the facts straight. The grad assistant went to Joe on the advice of the grad assistant's dad. The grad assistant tells Joe. Joe tells the grad assistant he (Joe) is going to tell the AD. Joe calls the AD and tells the AD. The AD talks to the grad assistant and the grad assistant tells the AD what he had told Joe. The AD tells the grad assistant that he (the AD) will take it from that point. How do you reach your conclusion that the grad assistant is a sinister liar?

Other than the absolute heinous nature of the crimes we're talking about--probably the worst thing short of murder.

Other than the 40 count indictment by the state of Pennsylvania.

Other than pages of under oath grand jury testimony, including by McQueary and Paterno.

Other than the arrest of Sandusky and indictment of Schultz and Curley.

Other than the well documented timeline showing that PSU officials knew that Sandusky was a danger to children.

Other than all that....yeah! Pretty much exactly the [censored]ing same.

What the fuck are you even talking about? Ohio State has NOTHING to do with shit. You'll notice I didn't say Paterno witnessed it himself. He had a GA come to his fucking house and say HE witnessed it. As a person in position of authority, you are obligated to fucking do something about it, especially when it is your team, your building, and your goddamned coaching staff. Again, this is CHILD RAPE, not some goddamned misdemeanor. You put McQ in the fucking car and drive his ass to the station to make a statement. The you call Sandusky and try and convince him to turn himself in. You do NOT tell the AD and then wash your hands of it.

First, the person who went to Paterno didn't tell him what to do.....he was a 28 year old Grad Assistant. 28yo GAs don't tell Joe Paterno what to do in Happy Valley.

Second, if all you're going to do is tell your boss what happened (which is pathetic), then when nobody from the police department ever contacts you about it, you do some followup of your own. You were told your former DC was having sex with a 10 year old kid in the showers.......your assumption after nothing happens isn't "Oh....guess he wasn't doing anything wrong."

Third, you don't just tell your boss. If the guy is your friend (which at this point in time, Paterno and Sandusky weren't friends), then you tell him to turn himself in or you'll do it for him.





Or there's your approach...

Based on everything I've read about this, much if not all of the PSU football staff utterly failed in their moral (and potentially legal) responsibility in reporting Sandusky's pedophilia to the authorities. Simple as that.

Protecting and enabling rapists isn't a NCAA violation, this is worse then anything in college athletics, but life will go on at Penn State and the NCAA will look like a pile of shit once more.
