Don't need one if he reads and lets fly. Jus sayin
OK, but he did hit two passes of over 30 yards in the first half and I'm just into the 2nd quarter. Let me finish up and get back to you. Let's also give credit to the WMU DBs who played a tough man-to-man. Unlike previous weeks, CJ hit his short passes, didn't force the pass, didn't screw up hand offs. In short he played much better than he has since the Va Tech game.

Please... Please... Stop running the wildcat. It epic fails almost every time.
agreed... it's been a drive killer. Outside of THE spin.
Question: does it set up another play? I dunno. But I wonder if it's used to set something else up in the offense, or to see how the defense reacts in order to get a certain read for other plays, or is it in the back of Urban's mind that before the season is out, Brax is going to stop and throw the ball?

There's nothing about the wildcat that says you need to throw out of it for it to be successful. It's a straight up numbers game. There's supposed to be an added blocker since you are basically eliminating the QB. We used to run it with Boom Herron, with some effectiveness. Darren McFadden never threw out of it. A pop pass or misdirection would be effective out of it, however.

But if you can't block it up properly, or the runner isn't finding the lanes that are being blocked properly, then that's what you are seeing recently.
