tOSU vs. USC 08 & 09 series

All I'm saying is, that to give an edge pretty much anywhere on offense to Ohio State versus a school that has had three Heisman trophy winners in the last 5 years is premature.

I can't tell whether you're actually serious or not. Regardless, there are a lot of holes in that argument. Also, did we not just have one last year?

Yeah, and we do the same. How many of our Championships are voted on by media groups who don't even watch football. They created the BCS, but there's no reason to say that the USC championship is any more iligitamate than the 5 of ours voted by the CFRA, whoever that is. I'm sure if we were in USC shoes, we would surely count that AP championship. Plus, they have a trophy.

All I'm saying is, that to give an edge pretty much anywhere on offense to Ohio State versus a school that has had three Heisman trophy winners in the last 5 years is premature. And especially one who has regularly churned out impressive offensive performances over those years. Yeah, OSU had a great offense the last two years through the emergence of Troy Smith, but to say that this team is developing into some kind of offensive juggernaut is misleading.

Apparently we're arguing the same thing, I don't think you can predict the outcome of this game either way. If you take a look at how Texas beat SC and how Texas beat us you'll see it was amazing how similiar it was. USC is an offensive powerhouse and has amazing speed on defense, I live in SoCal, I get a lot of exposure to the team. I think this game should be amazing, these are two of the best big-game coaches there are, even down to the records against their rivals, tOSU is 5-1 against scUM, and USC is 5-1 against UCLA.

For me it's too early to really discuss this team, a lot can change in a year, you're talking about two coaches that probably have NFL teams contacting them every year and players who can go pro at any moment.

Any serious college football fan knows this will be a clash of the titans, but really it will all depend on how the new classes coming in will be, Saine and McKnight will be good to see, Tressel V Carroll will be great to see, and if we sneak out of there with a win all the better.

All three were top recruits when they came out of prep school, and beyond that, have an offensive coach that pushes the envelope.

I like your instant coronation of Wells/Saine. While they both look great, it's been, once again against three unimpressive teams.

bravo, sir. bravo.
