last year we got the ball with a one point lead and five minutes to go.
Sparty had two timeouts, so we needed three first downs to seal the deal.
we ran Hyde for 7, Hyde for 6, Miller for 14, Miller for 6, (Sparty time out) Miller for 0, (Sparty Time out) Hyde for 5, and then took a knee.
they ain't gonna stop our running game.
for some reason I was thinking hyde didn't play in last years game?

Exactly, as anyone who reads this media swill knows. Lose either game and these asses will be telling us hiw they knew all along that the Buckeye win streak was crap. Win them both, and these asses will eat humble pie for a long time. I really hope that Free Shoes loses and Ohio State kicks the living daylights out of an SEC team. Not likely, but I'd love to see Frosted Tips dance around that one...the next two games are for that respect.Because the last 24 straight wins sure didn't earn any.
I would not be surprised to see this turn into a low scoring game (i.e. 17-10) not because I don't think our offense will score, but that the MSU offense will take a page out of Iowa's book and just try to plod 4 yards on us and never give us the ball. Hope our front 7 is ready.
Ok, someone needs to talk me off the ledge here.
All I keep seeing is 2010 Oregon in the Rose Bowl. OSU hadn't seen an offense like Oregon's all year. Oregon hadn't faced a defense like OSU's all year. Now it's reveresed only replace Oregon with MSU.
OSU have an unstoppable offense, MSU has an unpenetrable defense. How is OSU going to win this game?
All I can possibly think of is, our defense can stop the run so the grinding it out, clock management aspect OSU used on Oregon won't be there, but they can dink and dive pass attack to acheive the same thing.
Michigan was able to stop OSU in 3 out of the first 5 drives. MSU's defense is way better. But Miller was wearing gloves and had to accoutn for wind.
Frankly I don't see a lot of drives happening from either team this game.
Someone instill some confidence in me please.
That and we had Terelle Pryor running around stiff arming DE's to the turf like rag dolls. So, if you like that comparison, you have to think of whether the Oregon D could have made enough plays to win that game without that particular mismatch.
