tOSU vs. Purdue, Sat 2/8 @ 6p ET, BTN

I was at the game and although it was a big crowd it was pretty subdued. I wonder if the home crowd is still jaded/disbelieving of the team due to the PSU loss at home (I was there too--ugh). You'd think that after this team did the improbable and knocked off UW and Iowa on the road people would begin to believe again but who knows.

Not thought I'd see OSU-to-the-rim 4 of 5 tries out of an announcer's mouth. That led to some pretty open three's, glad Smith and then Ross made them. Having Craft step up and show he's NOT afraid to take a shot helped. Great to see Craft driving and dishing to Amir, makes a big difference in how a team defends tOSU. Makes them be aware of court presence. Seemed when Scott had the ball, Craft wasn't interested in 'playing'. Ditto when Scott was in and Craft had the ball. Still say Lenzelle has been given a 'quota' of points to make, else he's on the pine. The freshman seems more tentative, rather than more aggressive, as the season goes on. Hope that clears up. Still hate to see the offensive rebounds by the other team, but guess that's part of tOSU basketball. no one walls off on the boards.

Good win, JR Hammond (?) is the most NBA worth player on the court tonight. Go Bucks

Gotta believe having tsun up next might have had the crowd holding their breath a bit. I expect a raucous arena Tuesday.

Fuck TSUN! GO BUCKS!

Great team victory for the third game in a row. Scott looks like he is coming out of his funk and not trying to do too much. If Smith Jr. and Thompson can keep on making a few shots this team as a chance to go a long way come tournament time. Williams has to keep up with his aggressiveness. Seems to be getting better at that the past couple games. Craft is the man!

Yes that Penn State game is still bothering me every time I look at the standings and I see 6-5 I think we should be 7-4 and tied for 3rd place. We have had a top 3 seed in the Big Ten tournament the last 4 years in a row and we have made the championship game the last 5 years in a row winning 3 of them. The last time we didn't make the Big Ten Championship game was back in 2008 when we were a 5 seed.

Penn State lost at home to Bucknell and Princeton which makes it so troubling but it happens. The team up north lost to Charlotte.

Scott going to Matta and requesting to come off the bench is a great sign of leadership and maturity.

LSJr shooting the ball under control is great to see....

when these guys play within themselves they are fun to watch. When they try to do too much they start thinking and then the brain lock occurs. I don't know if anyone noticed, but Iowa and Purdue both have had to come out of their zones to play defense and the lane is opening up a bit more finally.

Basketball, like most sports, is as much mental as it is physical. For whatever reason the Bucks seem to have come out of their funk; if they continue to play like they are now, a good run in the tourney is possible. There's certainly talent there.
