There's only one team we need to share a division with and that's tsun. You're talking decades while the schools have played only 30 times over 100+ years.Sparty is a rival right now because they're good right now. I'm speaking generationally. In terms of decades, not years. If there are only two teams that OSU absolutely must share a division with, they're Michigan and Penn State.

Pretty sure Illinois is OSU's second rivalry, and not PSUPSU is a rival. They're OSU's second biggest rival. (Not counting the 'Cold Rivalry' with ND.)
This is essentially OSU's second game of the season. Between Va Tech and now were just scrimmages. The Bucks are going to show up tonight under the lights against an opponent they respect. Bucks win by three scores or better. 38-17 at worst. Maybe 42-10.
You can't have a real rivalry with a cross-divisional opponent. Yes, the Penn State fanbase disgusts me, they should have burned the place to the ground, they should be kicked out of the conference, etc. But if we set emotion aside and approach the subject rationally, in the next twenty-five years the two teams who will present the greatest obstacles to Ohio State's success will be Michigan and Penn State. You know who your rivals are. They're the ones you hate the most.
