tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

I watched the giraffe abortions that were Air Force and South Carolina, so I’ll certainly watch this one. I do miss the days when Bowls mattered enough that everyone wanted to play in them, but I get why they don’t. The sport has passed a lot of us old(er) timers by, can either watch what’s there now or do something else. With the 12 team playoff coming next year, we’ll make it pretty much every year, so everyone can bitch about losing playoff games for the foreseeable future whenever we don’t win it all…which will be most years.
This.

How is not watching a game not supporting them?

When your season is already a failure, beating or not beating the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC is meaningless
Let's see. The Buckeyes have been playing football since 1890. They have won a total of 8 National Championships. They have beaten TCUN 51 times and tied 6 times. By your logic, the other 68 seasons were all failures. That's a crap attitude and the very definition of a bandwagon fan. Do I wish the season had ended better? without a doubt. Am I gonna pout and not watch a game? Nope. Win or lose I am a Buckeye fan and will watch. I don't just watch when they are winning.

Nope. It's a meaningless game. Can't wait until next year when every good team will be in a real playoff.

Hoping we get a couple decent Mizzou folks to show up and talk about their team at some point.

I think that's all they got. Not sure we will get 100% of the fanbase.

Pretty sure that's already baked in
I would think so, as is the likely opt outs from Henderson and Egbuka on offense, probably Burke and JT on defense. By my account we will have a possibility (and a certainty in many instances with portal guys/NFL departures/injury) of the following not playing: McCord, Henderson, Miyan, MH Jr, Egbuka, Fleming, Stover, JT, Sawyer (I think he plays), Abor, Eich/Chambers (I think they play, but could see them opting out), Burke, Hancock, Ransom, Proctor (think he plays, but with his injury history maybe not), and Stokes. If something like that happens and I gambled on CFB, I would take Mizzou money line.

But I promised myself to never bet on an Ohio State game again and I am sticking to it, so I will just be excited to see how the young replacements play in the game so we have an idea of the new contenders for next year. If we manage to win it, all the better to send our seniors out on a high note.

Any word on whether Devin Brown will be ready. I would love to see him get some real time in this game.
Paul Keels came to my place today. (His younger brother comes in once or twice a week.) He said Devin will start, but Lincoln will play. Fwiw, he also said that McCord would be the starter long before it was officially announced.
