Game Thread tOSU vs. Indiana, Nov 22nd @ 12pm ET, BTN

Minnesota in no way gets OSU prepared for a playoff run, IF Ohio State is able to get into the playoff picture. While it would be nice to finally get some hardware in the trophy cases after the last 4 years, I would rather play the better of the two and lose and get into a bowl game that is better suited. Would be better than not being tested and back-dooring ourselves in the playoff picture and getting destroyed.
after today there probary slip a few spots

Has the Big declared a moratorium on holding calls?
Not one in this game.
I would not trust a single Big Ten Ref crew to get the call right with a game on the line.
Best to not leave it to a bunch of incompetents.

OSU has had to take matters into their own hands. That first fumble, was an intentional targeting that wasn't called. Yet OSU overcomes blatant disregards for the rules and finds a way to win.

Just a very young team playing like a very young team today. I loved our aggression on offense the first 2 drives, looked like a team who wasn't taking Indy for granted, which I don't believe they did (at first).

The moment when Diamont runs for a 50+ yard scramble on a well defended play, of which the last 35 yards he gained b/c of very poor pursuit angles taken in route to his tackling - the momentum shifts b/c we're already comfortable w/our 2 TD lead. They score, we turn the ball over, and then the next 2 quarters happened, before we get back under our feet w/Jalin's punt return and away we go. I understood the play calling after 3 offensive turnovers, of which only 1 was on JT, but I felt our inability to consistently run against the FBS's 90th ranked defense, of which is 80th in run defense, was concerning. We've already proven this year that we're better than that, so I'm not losing sleep. Just mildly disappointed in the effort during that period.

As a fan, my biggest concern continues to be our lack of physicality on defense beyond the front 4. I'm prob blind, but I think I continue to see missed tackles (or soft, high, "bounce off" tackles) from Powell and others who line up behind Bosa/Bennett/Washington/Miller. It's not necessarily coverage, its plain, old fashioned physicality. I just don't see it in the LB'ers (although I think Perry is much improved, overall LB core is better in 2014) and primarily the secondary (I have to exclude Grant, he's had a great season). I don't see the mind set of Mike Doss or Donte Whitner back there any more. It concerns me to think about that back 7 lining up against Oregon or 'Bama - can we play man-for-man with them well enough on defense to win those games? I just don't know. I think we're talented, but so are they. After we beat UM, we may face a really good Wisky team who will def challenge what I believe is our biggest weakness. Will be fun to watch.

Regardless, great win. Go Bucks!
