Game Thread tOSU vs. Illinois, Nov 1st @ 8pm ET, ABC

Honestly I wish it was. I'm skipping almost all of the tailgate tomorrow. I have no desire to spend 12 hours in 40 degree weather with 20-30 mph winds and THEN go to a football game.
Agreed. My wife and I plan on spending the afternoon in the hotel and getting to the West Campus parking lot between 6:00 & 6:30. No sense being out in the cold & wind all day. Fortunately by kick-off the winds are supposed to be down to 10-14 mph. Unfortunately the temp will be in the 30s.

Seems like the weather always sucks when we play the Illini....

Oh man watchespn is sweet for cordcutters that have a relative giving you access to their login info. It is especially nice to use with a Roku  but for BTN2GO I needed to use my nexus 10 coupled with mini HDMI to the TV. Really wish BTN2GO made a Roku channel. But I always got it to work out some way (had to go back with DirecTV since I am sort of a TV snob and have to put games up on the site lol).
BTN2GO will work in any web browser - and yes, a big thank you to my Old Man's TimeWarner subscription and my best friends Cox Cable subscription - you can watch almost any sporting event in HD now as a cord cutter.

Yeah, I've got HDMI's out the yin-yang. I was more making the point that its a pain the ass to lug home 2 laptops to be able to watch a game on my TV.
Goes to my earlier point, this regional [Mark May] has to stop because the technology is there (for Cable... OTA its not happening) for me to select which game I want to watch..
This change is coming. HBO announced they will be selling their package to non-cable subscribers now as a standalone service. My biggest beef, with the regions, if I pay MLB a couple hundred bucks, why must you black-out the Indians games? I get the TV money, but seriously? A VPN fixes the issue, and as I found out, will let me watch some Rugby overseas!

I shouldn't be subjected to stupidity because others around me like it.
Tell that to Chris Fowler.

I think this is the week that Samuel, Dontre, and/or Marshall finally go off. The catch and reverse-spin move at speed last week from Samuel was sick.

Nope. Maybe Samuel, but the other two are in the "Not as explosive in pads" category. I know I'll be reamed for that comment, but seriously, we've been begging way too long for Dontre and Marshall to do something and it's just not happening. The true playmakers (Ginn, Beanie,...) don't need this much begging...

Marshall has only been in games this year, a bit early yet for him.

If you look at the yards per touch for Dontre and Marshall it's pretty good. They just don't get the ball enough. I think where our disappointment comes in is that we need those guys to be game-breakers. They need to take a jet sweep or short pass to the house. They haven't done it. Maybe it's because they don't get enough touches. But what are you going to do? There's one ball and 6 guys you'd like to get it to. Good problem to have, but still a problem.

In Dontre's case, it seems if a defender lays a finger on his lower extremities, he trips and goes down. He will not be a game-breaker until he figures out how to pick up his feet and run through arms and hands. He's a young guy yet. Another year of strength and conditioning and he might get there, but I think he is going to have to change his running style from short, choppy steps to longer strides, more power, and picking his feet up to avoid the trash.

I'll always remember 2009 with the monsoon.

Although that produced one of my favorite photos ever...
