Game Thread tOSU @ Virginia Tech, Sep 7 2015 @ 8pm ET, ESPN

You might check whether Sling carries BTN now. I looked at their website a few weeks ago, but can't remember if I ever found that listed.

On a related note, the Time-Warner coverage I have doesn't include the Fox Sports channel that has meatchicken's game. Open to suggestions for streaming it--is FirstRow still a viable option? (Since I'm hoping to witness live the first smack down of Hardball and deflation of tsun's expectations.)

I've had Sling since March. ESPN/ESPN2 are included in their main Live TV package for $20. Also have the $5 Sports Extra which includes ESPN News/ESPNU/SEC Network et al.

Sadly no BTN, FoxSports1/2, NBCSN or CBS Sports Network, but usually can find a live stream of the first (4) as I'm also a Nascar fan and watch the races on various FoxSports and NBCSN live streams. I digress.

Ironically had 14 years of misery w/TW and swore I would never go back, but AT&T could only offer me phone and 3 mbps for $75 a mo. and needed faster speed so had to switch back to TW's 30 mbps for $75. A no-brainer. Again, I digress.

Would actually go back to cable if they offered all the main sports channels in one package for a fair price. Have a box antenna and get (42) local channels for free, what a concept, including 1080p NBC/ABC/CBS/FOX. Cut the cord two years ago ...

Also, have a free Roku stick provided by Sling attached to my Smart TV and have been pretty happy with the reception quality, although "many" have had various problems w/Sling if you read the comments on the net.

Interesting article....

FILM STUDY: HOW TO ATTACK THE VIRGINIA TECH 'BEAR' DEFENSE

Bud Foster has become a household name in Ohio over the past year.

After surprising the Buckeyes at home with an aggressive defensive game plan that gave the eventual national champions their only loss the season, the Hokies' defensive coordinator has become center of attention leading up to the rematch this Monday night in Blacksburg, Va. Although nearly every opponent that followed on Ohio State's schedule tried to use piece of Foster's '46-Bear' defense, only his troops were able to come away with a victory.

Many on this site and on countless others have looked at this scheme at great detail, wondering what about a philosophy whose time in the sun came 30 years ago could be so successful today. The answers have ranged from the Bear's novelty, to Foster's ability to coach defensive backs, to OSU's inexperience on offense, to just plain luck. In reality, the Buckeyes' loss was probably a deadly cocktail of all those answers, making it hard to pinpoint just how, exactly, Foster will try to replicate that formula.

Heading into their matchup with the Buckeyes last September, Foster made a gamble on the fact that although his opponent was replacing starters at quarterback, running back, and four spots on the offensive line, their offensive system would remain virtually the same as their scarlet and gray predecessors. With Carlos Hyde running behind a stout line, OSU gutted defenses on inside runs in 2012 and 2013, so Foster set out to ensure that his unit wouldn't see the same fate.

As both teams hit the field in Ohio Stadium, the Hokies lined up in a 'Bear' front, aligning up a defensive lineman directly across from both guards and the center. Though the Buckeyes appeared to have enough men to block this front, that misses the point of the scheme.
