The Buckeyes were 49 points better last year because they were in Neutral for the entire second half
I’m not saying 49 should be the expectation, but if you cover up the team names and base the expectation on performance alone, 26.5 seems a bit low

Three days out, the prediction for Saturday's game is 18 mph winds.That's Sparty's only chance of slowing down the passing game.

True but then again we've been the best offense the past few seasons.
That's what I mean. They aren't very good and they haven't been since probably 2015 on defense.

While the Spartans are pretty average at preventing passes of 25 or more yards (8 on the year), they are at the bottom of the B1G in preventing intermediate passes of 15-24 yards. They are also at the bottom of the league in allowing 1st downs through the air at 69 (OSU leads the B1G at 29).

look how many times sparty has screwed ohio st when they were highy ranked and sparty shouldn't be taken lighty dispite being 27 point underdog.i seen it all been following ohio st since mid 60's.i dontt know y u think ur a mr.know it.all .thats all i'm gonna say about it

Well, it's hump day game week Michigan State so we're closer to gametime than not. I have neither heard, read, or deduced any elements from Sparty that doesn't tell me a repeat of last years game isn't on tap for Saturday. CJ and the Buckeyes are the worst team for a secondary that isn't holding down the fort and that's not how I'd decribe this matchup.
Prediction: Buckeyes call off the dogs in the 50's and Sparty gets about 10. Not a game we'll have to stress over too much. After this weeks' results the Buckeyes will be in the Top 2 minimum.

Other than the part where you said "isn't not", I agree with all of your post, except the bolded line. I would be shocked if Ohio State jumps one of the SEC's dynamic duo. Unless one loses this weekend, I don't know what could happen for them to drop out of top 2. But.... I've never been wrong in the past - there's a first time for everything.

I think if Georgia looks like ass against Barn while the Buckeyes blow the doors off Sparty they have a good shot at #2.

I'm with @Zurp, its going to take an actual loss for OSU to move past UGA or Bama. If Bama wins by 3 and OSU wins by 45, the argument will be that Bama played an SEC school. This garbage counterpoint has been used for years(and unfortunately worked). UGA barely beat freaking Kent St, and wasn't punished, but let the same thing happen to OSU, and they're considered frauds
