2027 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

True. I think the 2028 class will be the big gauge for him, if he can't land a big fish there then I'd start being concerned.
Thankfully Harrison and McMullen are OSU”s to lose, imo. Now they better not even attempt to short change them and expect some type of discount. They probably won’t bid the highest, but if it’s in the top 2-3, with everything else OSU has to offer, they can land them both. That would be HUGE!
But as far as 2027, Hankton only has Easter and Wong left really on his tier A big board. OSU is surging with Easter, but Tech can very easily outbid OSU by $500k-1mil/yr. Again, they need to prove to him the long term development at OSu is worth more than the offer Tech will have. 1 WR drafted in the 1st 3 rounds in 60yrs for Tech, and how many in the 1st round alone for OSU in the Last 5yrs:pimp:

Not exactly. He just started at tOSU, not his career. It's just that he's now on the 'big stage' at tOSU, and believe there's more eyes on Buckeye Nation than LSU. Day chose him for a reason, now all he has to do is prove he can do it here....Go Bucks!

That’s what I meant. He’s just starting….here. It’s going to be a minute before the 27 class wraps up, if he whiffs on a couple of his targets and loses Broen, yeah. That’s going to be a super disappointing start. If he keeps Brown and lands a major target with having just started here, I think it’s a successful start all things considered.

That's where I land too. Unfortunately Hartline spoiled the fanbase to a point where they expect OSU to land multiple 5stars every cycle, or its a loss of a class. I can see Hankton utilizing the Portal much more than Hartline, and in an ironic twist I can see Hartline having to use the Portal since he won't get near the same type of talent at USF

if that happens it would be way bigger than "super disappointing". im def being a tad impatient but yeah...if he lost brown that would be extremely bad

So what's the over/under on how many sign up for S&G? Betting we get two. Have my own preferences, but any of the two will fill holes/add depth to the Buckeyes.

IMIMHO o/u set at 2 and ill take the over as of today

Fakatou - 90% postive hes a Buckeye
Torbert - 25%
May - 50%
DGG - 75%
Sales - 25%

Just got Lindy's Annual on the Big Ten. About month or so later than the overall College Football. Anyway, look at projected top players in nation, and top players in the B10. Kinda surprising, am used to see several/many players listed among the elites. Nary a Buckeye mentioned in either mag. Probably the penalty of losing so many players to NFL. Last year, zero mention of any LB other than Sonny, but we all know how that turned out. Anyway, seems like the pundits are downplaying the Buckeyes individually, but has the team in top 5. Kinda contradictory, so seems like the writers are counting on the Buckeye coaches to build/meld or otherwise cobble together these players into top flight competition. Hopefully our coaches are using these prognostications to instill fire in their loins to go out and conquer. Go Bucks!
