I have no idea how somebody can drop after high school football season is over.

The only way it makes sense is if the final statistics are in from each players high school career and some players numbers caused their ranking to creep up, and some fall.

If there aren't any rankings based on old statistics, then they are just making stuff up.

Oh at this point they are totally just making stuff up with any major changes.

The recruiting sites live by click bait type stuff to get traffic as well. Dropping certain players randomly seemingly for no reason drives conversation and clicks. It’s a dumb game but it is what it is.
