2024 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Actually not surprised Saban handled his retirement this way. Short, quick and painful. Stop the bleeding and get on with it. Hiring a successor (a la Texas in the 90's), doesn't always work, and in the interim, the hotsy totsy recruits will eschew that team. Makes sense. PS, will bet vcash that LJ does it the same way. Popeye school of management - "I've stands all I can stands, and can't stands no more" and it's done.

Allegedly he was interviewing a new WR coach that morning, and abruptly resigned. Word is health issues within the family (hopefully not).

I would think he would want to have a succession plan in place before he left, for his legacy alone, so something life altering may well be the factor.

Here's a thought. Maybe recruit Bama's Oline coach, and maybe he brings Proctor with him? Realize this is outa the box stuff, but it's needed in Buckeyeland....Go Bucks! And yeah, bring Caleb with them...

He is a Ytown guy. So it's not like asking a guy who has never left SEC country to make his way north. Not out of the question at all.

The addition of Dominic Kirks moved tOSU to #3 in the (Rivals) Team Rankings for 2024, ahead of Cryami and Bama (who still have Sayin listed).

OSU is behind UGA and Bama currently in the recruiting composite, and number 2 in the total with recruiting and transfers, according to 247.
If we add Sayin would we leapfrog UGA? Thinking it would be pretty close. Having the #2 class would be a-ok with me and the gap is none regardless, I am just competitive in everything, including recruiting titles.

Does Sayin count towards the OSU class? I thought because he’s a transfer he doesn’t count towards the recruiting numbers
