2021 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Would love to get Latham back.....maybe Covid will play a large part in what ShowMe opines? Having a depleted tOSU OL put up >350 yards against a team with three newbies (as in haven't played a bunch), would show a potential flip that yes indeed, you learn how to play OL at tOSU. To me that was more impressive than Justin bouncing back from an off day. Everyone tends to watch the ball, but when I concentrate very hard, I can focus on the OL play. Saw some great one-on-one blocks, some great switches, and even some second level blocks by these 'back-ups'. From the look of the 2021 recruiting class, Day/Pantoni/rest of coaches have gone a good distance in 'filling' the holes that will be brought on by graduation. Ultimately, that's the key to recruiting. (But it's nice to have lots of stars signing up too!). Go Bucks!

Wonder if there will be enough room and/or enough need for a late bloomer or flip for a February signing special? Perhaps an OT?
I believe I read someone, probably Ellis on 11W, say that they likely wouldn’t push to add a project late just to add a body.

Probably because they will have extra flexibility with the COVID eligibility rules and the ‘22 class is off to such a great start.

What is the number of scholies are we looking at? 23-24?
Given the above, I believe they are looking to add JTT for sure to put the class at 22. They’d add a complete long shot in someone like Leigh or Raesjon Davis (who Bill Greene is really high on being a real possibility, but that doesn’t seem to be shared by many others), and then there was recent speculation that Devonta Smith wanted back in to the class. Given that there has been no follow up smoke it seems like that likely got shut down, but it might still be an option.

There’s also speculation about possible transfers in Palaie Gaoteote and Jaiden Woodbey, but those both seem unlikely.

I think the most likely number is adding JTT and sticking at 22 for the class, but there are unlikely options that might push it higher.

This is weird. It is signing day tomorrow. Where is all the speculation? Where are the last minute hints based on sock color? Who are we going to flip? Who are we afraid will flip to some other team?

Instead we have folks asking "Early signing going to be this week?"

I guess I will just check in tomorrow around 5:00 and double check the list of signees for spelling errors.

Ryan Day you are a masterful recruiter, but you and Urban have ruined "Recruiting Eve".

More likely everyone is home in somber observance of the holiest of holy nights, St Bill Martin eve. Tomorrow is the day we speak His name as it’s the 13th anniversary of his greatest gift to us.
