This will be the best defense Ohio State has faced since Virginia Tech. Bad news for Penn State is that this is the best offense that they will see this year. I think it might be coser than a lot of foks here think but a decisive Bucks victory.

This will be Barrett's first true road test in front of 110,000 in a sea of white.

The last time I remember a true freshman starting for an opponent at the White House was VS Notre Dame back in 2007. I remember Jimmy Clausen being thrown around like a rag doll... We won 31-10.

How have other Freshman QB's fared at the Beav in front of a sea of white, or at night? The teams that come to Beaver Stadium and beat us at night are teams with good quarterback play, teams that don't make mistakes. If we can get a rush on Barrett I think we've got a shot.

Dang, 110,000 hillbillies are going to all coordinate their outfits before they go out for the evening? How can we win? Hopefully they don't come up with an extremely witty and intimidating cheer... I don't know, something like one group yells "we are" and then the clever response is "penn state". That would be beyond impressive. And god forbid they come up with something overwhelmingly repetitive to play over the loud speaker... maybe something like a cheesy lion roar. How would we handle the intimidation? JT is screwed.

Yes, they have a good front four on both sides of the ball and that's where it stops. Their twos are non-existent. By the end of the 3rd quarter those two "good front fours" have been worn out. Watch the game with Michigan and you'll see what I mean.

Two strong front fours? Their offensive line is a BIG liability. I think their dline Is quality but I'm not so sure about the offensive line

Definitely agree about the secondary. A lot was made about the 46 defense that VT played, but it was the secondary that gave them the ability to do that. They regularly crank out NFL talent from that unit. Penn State's secondary is nowhere near that level and that's a huge difference in how the Buckeyes match up.

Exactly... if you cant match us up out wide one on one then forget it you won't be stopping us. Teams must be able to do that because it enables them the ability to stack the box and bring pressure.

Penn state has the #1 rush defense currently, but a middle of the road passing defense (I think somewhere in the 40s or 50s). I think we put up something somewhere in the 30's. We probably won't be able to run all over them until later in the game, so if JT is hot then it could get ugly. But I'll guess something like 34-13.
