tOSU @ Northwestern, Sat Nov 5, 12pm, ABC

This score is eerily similar to the halftime score during the OSU-Michigan game I was watching in a dream last night. It was a really weird dream. The first half I watched in the stadium from one of the end zones. FOX was there and Urban was in the end zone leading cheers with the fans. The Bucks were in a dog fight and...now this is where it got really weird...at one point the Bucks were driving toward our end zone but turned the ball over. We watched as Urban donned a gorilla costume and rushed into the field to make a tackle, drawing a penalty. I have no idea what to make out of that. But the half ended in a low scoring tie, 14-14.

It was an unusually long halftime, other stuff happened that had nothing to do with the game. Then I was at home on the patio getting ready to watch the second half on some TVs suspended in the air. It may have even been the next day. Anyway, early on the Bucks were driving the opposite direction the camera angle was from the same end zone where I’d been sitting before. CJ got wrapped up and, while he was being tackled, he turned and threw the ball backwards to one side but there was no one there. It was horrendous. A Michigan defender grabbed the ball and started running, was tackled, fumbled the ball, and another Michigan player picked it up and ran it in for the score. I was livid. I hopped online to express my outrage and that’s when I woke up.

I first dozed off during halftime of the Oregon State-Washington game where the Beavers led 14-7 after a pick six just before the half. The imaginary game I was watching was probably affected by that a little bit. But for the life of me I’ll never figure out where the image of Urban Meyer in a gorilla suit running out onto the field came from. That was just too bizarre.

Dreams are cool. :)

We’re built to win the national title …. which is right now in direct conflict with winning in the B1G
I've had this complaint for years. No other team that competes for NCs has to build a team that can beat Bama in a dome but also needs to beat Purdue in a wind tunnel or Minnesota in a blizzard.

Knowles D doesn't do well against power running. Very concerned with stopping the TTUN run game.
The "power running" teams that Ohio State has played so far....

OpponentAttemptsYardageAverageTDs
Notre Dame30762.51
Wisconsin351925.52
Iowa35772.20
Penn State331113.41
Northwestern271284.71
TOTALS1605843.75
NOTE: The above numbers are skewed against Ohio State due to a Wisconsin 75-yard TD run against the Buckeye backups in garbage time of a 52-21 game. Take out that one play and the Buckeye defense has the following numbers against Wisconsin: 34 attempts, 117 yards, 3.4 average, 1 TD....

And against all "power running" teams: 159 attempts, 509 yards, 3.2 average, 4 TDs.

Is Michigan better than all of those teams? Yes. Will Michigan's "power running" game shred Jim Knowles's defense? Doubtful.

Hearing Hooker "Heisman favorite" makes me sick.

Unless CJ finds 4 TDs in this second half, it's likely the truth.

You knew the SEC slobbers would have an SEC backup in place in case Bryce Young was out of the running. It was Orwellian the way they seemlessly went straight from Young to Hooker and never even thought about stopping at Stroud.

I told my buddy this morning, after I put a bunch of money on the Under 55, that if Ohio State covers the spread today they are the national champion regardless of what else happens. Scoring 38 points period is a Herculean effort in this shit. I'd rather we were playing in the snow.
