I think the SEC is the same as they've always been minus 1-3 super elite teams lifting everyone thanks to ESPN carpet bombing their propaganda.

I meant to say in terms of the top of the conference..yes it is deep, but I'm not convinced the champion is in the SEC this year. I think the top team in the nation is Oregon (and will be after Miss. St. loses), then it is really debatable between Miss. St., FSU, TCU, Baylor, ASU, Bama, and Ohio State. In years past, it was clear that Bama/Auburn/LSU were clearly the top team(s) in the country...this year, not so much.

Is because Bama/Auburn/LSU don't have elite teams this year or is the SEC really down because Ole Miss and Mississippi State are at the top?

I wouldn't even go so far as to put Oregon in any tier above those other teams you mentioned until the end of the season.

I'm not impressed with how they've won games and think a good offense could get ahead of them early and a decent defense could get enough stops to outlast.

That's the great thing about "parity" this year. I think the top of the SEC West is about equal to the top of the SEC East and neither are really outstanding.

I honestly think that the teams that look the most solidly consistent are TCU and Bama. Those two teams WILL make the playoffs. It's up to how the Pac and the B1G shake out to determine who else goes.

I will say i love Jerry Kill's style. Seems like a great person and you can tell his players really enjoy working hard for him. Minnesota knocked it out of the park with his hiring

This. For sure. For a funny looking white guy who can't dance worth a shit, he seems to have a great connection with his players. Maybe it's because the funny looking white guy tried to dance in front of his players? LOL. The fact of the matter is that he seems to be running a classy program and the kids are responding to doing the right things the right way. Hats off to the guy and glad he's B1G. From what I've seen, I'd have few qualms with sending my kid to play for him. Also glad that he seems to have his med schedule worked out. Geeez, there were a couple of times that I saw a ticker scroll and wondered if he was going to make it.

Major improvement from that douchbag before him.

But the University of Minnesota isn't banning heated benches for the visitors. We're simply not going to spend money on an amenity for visiting teams. You mention water coolers and fans but the visiting team typically bring those themselves, therefore the home school would have no power to ban them.

Enough about the heated benches, I'm sorry I brought it up. Let's face it, it's a none issue for the most part. I'm certainly not trying to ruffle feathers on here, I'm a guest and I realize that.

Awww hell, you're new and a guest so I'll fill ya in on something: we can debate the marginal worth of beating a dead horse starting from the point the horse was a foal until it's in a bottle of Elmer's glue... And then debate the marginal worth of flogging the bottle of glue vs the glue stick.

Stick around. Ya seem as good people as that coach of yours. You've hardly ruffled a feather... But I'm a few pages short of catching up on the thread.

And hey, we keep @Bucky32, no?
