Game Thread tOSU @ Minnesota, Nov 15th @ 12p ET, ABC/WatchESPN

Well the tOSU players went to the Columbus Zoo over the summer. The Arctic exhibit had the AC blasting. So basically the same thing. They'll be ready.

Wait what?

You drive one hour north of the Twin Cities and you see polar bears.

It's going to be cold. Nothing the Ohio State players have ever seen in their lives. If you are not used toIt may get to the level where the players can't breath. The football will be like a rock, the field will be hard and the east, west wind will surely swirl like a cold tornado.

Those other things are very true, but TCF does have a heated field, so that will be real nice.

Keep telling your self that.

The weather in Minnesota is nothing like Ohio. Not even close. By the weekend our ponds and lakes could very well be frozen over. We don't complain about six to twelve inches of snow only when it get over twenty four inches do people really complain during a snow fall.

If it was a normal fall November Saturday I would agree with people but it's not.

Uff da.
I've lived in both places. Minnesota will get more snowfall and has more extremes than does Columbus, Ohio. But... 27 degrees is hardly an extreme. As I said, it's not like Columbus is Miami, Fla. It's 41 degrees here today. Starting tomorrow we won't see highs above 35 for at least the next 7 days, at least.

I'll say this just once: The weather we'll see on game day will not be near as bad as it gets in Ohio. It may get colder sooner up in Minnesota, but we get worse weather in December, January, and February than you get in November, so we've seen it many, many times. And it doesn't matter that you may be experiencing a "colder than normal" November, we've still seen that sort of weather. In fact, it was -8F in my hometown of Youngstown last year, and that was without the wind chill...

You were young when you lived in Stillwater. You don't remember how cold it gets here. It's the wind chill. It's all about the wind chill.

1993-94 Winter I attended Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti, MI.
Had a cold front come in from each lake.
Wind Chill was -72F.
That's all of 35-40 miles from the OH border.
It doesn't take being at the lattitude of Minny to experience cold.
