It's actually less than 2 td's.I don't know what the line is but I'll bet it will be huge... If I were a betting man I think i would take a serious look at Minnesota beating the spread.
The reason why Minnesota had just seven yards passing against SJSU is that they had 380 yards rushing, and that their QB was the backup who went 1 for 7 passing. As for the TSU game, the Frogs totally shut down Minnesota's rushing attack (99 yards) and Minnesota didn't score until the fourth quarter. If we can limit Cobb's rushing and press the WRs, I think we can shut them down...we also need to make sure to account for their TE Maxx Williams who had three TDs against Iowa.7 (yes seven) against SJSU
169 vs TCU
Mili i get your point with SJSU because i saw the game and was thinking the same (when you run like that why bother) but when you have a back up in against someone that shitty you should at least get them some reps just in case. It IMO was a mixture of not needing too but also not being able to.The reason why Minnesota had just seven yards passing against SJSU is that they had 380 yards rushing, and that their QB was the backup who went 1 for 7 passing. I think you just inadvertently made a counterpoint to your original point. You say you think Cobb will be as effective as was Langford, but Minnesota won't throw for 150 yards. Well, one of the biggest reasons why Langford was successful was because we had to account for Cook's passing and Lippett's receiving. If Minnesota doesn't have a QB of Cook's caliber and a WR of Lippett's caliber, then I think we can focus more on Cobb than we did on Langford.Somehow mark this post guys because i will go on record saying somehow Cobb will be just as effective as Langford last week. We will know it's coming but will have trouble bring this guy down in the cold. The difference is they won't throw for more than 150 which you need to be able to do against us and our offense.
He's the #2 QB in the conference the way Kirk Ferentz deserves all those COY awards. Doing more with less isn't always because you're so good, you don't need better recruits or to pass often. Sometimes it's because you can't recruit and you can't pass. The Gophers are a very solid, well coached team. Cobb is one of the best RBs in the country, and Maxx Williams is an NFL TE. Leidner had been the second best QB in the B1G in conference play. He's pretty much #2 in yards per attempt, yards per completion, and completion percentage. He doesn't throw often, because mostly they don't need him to.
The D will be tested. We need to take the ball out of Cobb's hands, and make Leidner beat us.
They have a very solid, if not spectacular defense. Actually, their defensive numbers would have the pundits raving if they played in a different conference. This will be another tough test for the Buckeyes' offense, though i am pretty sure the Buckeyes can score on anyone at this point. They need to do it early and often. The Gophers are not built to come from behind. Get a 14-17 point lead, and it takes them completely out of their game.

Well...mostly.What is this bull[Mark May]? Reasonable, intelligent commentary from a B1G foe on a game against Blowhio $tate? I call bull[Mark May], that board ain't real.
I'm calling it: Minnesota will beat the pompous Buckeyes from Ohio State in historic fashion.
They are too concerned with rankings and their current standing in the playoff chase. They are the Yankees of NCAA football, thinking about how much they will win by this week rather than whether they will win at all.
Interesting piece of trivia from over there:

Section2 is correct, it was 1940. Beat Michigan 7-6 and OSU 13-7, both at home. It's also the only time it has ever happened according to the media guide.
