Game Thread tOSU @ Minnesota, Nov 15th @ 12p ET, ABC/WatchESPN

lol sorry guys I edited my post so it's there in its entirety.

Oh no not another Edit-gate

this officially the worst game thread ever, or nah?

Let's see...
- It's so cold in Minnesota, you Ohioans can't handle how cold it is!
- Heated Benches (I particularly liked the guy complaining about Minnesota paying for them after just posting that they were the Viking's benches)
- Cous, you don't know what cold is... you fled Minnesota
- You're top-5, but not top-4... can't compare to TCU... oh TCU is losing to Kansas? Umm...

.... yea, it's up there.
A lot of drama, and it wasn't even entertaining drama. Just lame drama.

My review of the game:

1) What an atmosphere...it was really loud there and we had some really tough conditions. Their crowd deserves a big tip of the cap.

2) That run by JT was contra-Sea Biscuit...he may not run a fast 40 but get guys chasing him, and he won't be caught. Also, that fake speed option counter was a really nice wrinkle and a deviation from the Heureman motion and counter to his side.

3) Love JT's decisiveness on the speed option in pitching it early...much like his throws, it gives his man a chance to make a play by getting the pitch out to the perimeter earlier. But he also keeps it longer when need be to get the read-man to commit one way or the other. Just fantastic at making his reads in the option game overall, something we have been missing for awhile.

4) That first INT was deadly...we are driving with ease and likely going up 21-0...but not as deadly as the Marshall goal line fumble imo. We go up 21-7 there with the way our defense is playing, it might have been a route (I suspect it would have been)...you deflate their defense, take the crowd out, and our defense gets a boost. Instead the crowd is back into it big-time, their defense regains confidence, and their offense comes out with a pep in their step. Game changing moment. My theory is the defense feeds off the offense for confidence...if the offense falters, they go in stride with them and that obviously needs fixed.

5) Horrible game for Powell...definitely a step back and not isolated to his open field missed tackle. He missed plenty of them and was not making anything happen near the LOS (or even 5 yards down field for that matter).

6) I've got to pin a lot of their running success on our D's gameplan...needed guys closer to the line and the box loaded up on every down except obvious passing downs. Cobb was literally their only threat to us, especially with the conditions (only deep ball really was just a great play by Maxx Williams). We are too light on the britches inside to rely on our front 4 to consistently shut down the run. We also had trouble getting off the field on 3rd down and the offense did not get the ball that much.

7) Vonn Bell is playing at an extremely high level right now, in pass coverage and in sure tackling. Lots of plays on the ball in air and opportunistic on turnovers when he has the opportunity. Very active on the LOS and maintaining position.

8) An end around to Corey Smith is an awful idea to start, particularly to the short side of the field with the ball on the hash. Luckily a well executed screen to Evan Spencer followed it. Glad to see Spencer get his hard work rewarded with some big TDs lately.

9) Bosa having 10+ tackles as a DL is every bit as impressive as his sacks/TFLs/pressures. That is just unreal.

10) The bummer about Jalin's fumble that set up their last TD was not that he misjudged it in air, it is that he called fair catch and still took his eye off of it...just isn't acceptable. Nothing to do with weather conditions, it went off his facemask and was due to a lack of focus. You are a smart kid Jalin, focus.

11) On our last drive...I don't get rolling JT to the short side of the field...and again, on the hash. No room to make anything happen.

- Glad we could walk out with a win but that's the most I have seen a team dominate where the box score did not reflect that...shame in the sense of playoffs hopes.

Lolz.

Reminds me of the dark days of the crisis with JT, when we had 2 threads, one for sunshine, rainbows, unicorns and the occasional conspiracy theory that suggested that JT lied because he had to because of the FBI investigation. Then there was the Not All In thread where folks vented quite a bit. Maybe we need two game threads!
Vented? LOLZ

I don't even care if you get the death penalty.
You've moved from constant contrarian to low level Tiboring.
