I can tell you that it ain't much different. When I left in 67 kids got blitzed on beer and booze, mostly beer. When I came back in 69 you could smell the mary jo wanna from the sidewalk as you cruised down 15th or by the dorms. Ain't nuthin' new. It's like wondering why kids drive 80 miles per hour down High Street... because they think they can and it might be cool. I don't like it. I think it's stupid, but ask me if I was stupid when I was a college student. You betcha, Kimisabe

I am growing very tired of the BS that our certain players are into! Haw, pull your head out and get a grip! Man is it going to be rough at work tomorrow! I don't like being the laughing stock in the sport of college football.

By the way, Is tibor the resident heckler? I don't appreciate a smart ass!

Quinn was cited for underage drinking the summer he arrived on campus. He was at a party with a bunch of his high school classmates, outside of Piqua and someone called the Police. When they came, they broke up the party and cited a bunch of them for underage. Hardly the same thing as marijuana possession. And most importantly, he has stayed out of trouble since.

Yes, I'm sure the OSU P.D. officer who gave him the ticket had NO IDEA who he was looking at, he could have run and added more charges, that would have been smart.:smash:
Part of me thinks he should be kicked off the team, for all the reasons mentioned in the last 7 pages of posts...but that would be a $50 punishment for a $10 crime. Also, he hasn't been convicted yet. I think the A.D. and school president should hold a mandatory meeting for all scholarship athletes and inform them that any conviction for any crime other than a minor traffic violation will result in their immediate forfeiture of scholarship and suspension from their respective athletic team for a minimum of 1 year. It should be made clear to these kids, and potential recruits, that no bullshit like we are seeing now will be tolerated at tOSU EVER AGAIN.

You hit the nail on the head....this type of behavior IS being tolerated in the program and the athletic department is to blame, from the administrators to the coaching staffs....its pathetic.

On another note, how could Tressel even meet with $%^@#$@ (the tightend who went to jail) and discuss trying to get him back in school.
