you guys have been dominant for so long, do you even get nervous on game days anymore? When was the last time you went into a game 1, being an underdog, 2, being favored but thinking you could lose?
it's a good time to be a buckeye fan, that's for sure. Just wondering if you guys get nervous anymore.
It is a great time to be a Buckeye fan, always has been, always will!
And yes I get nervous before each game, but I do so because when I don't the team performance level drops.
When I get concerned, they play at their peek levels.
I don't want to be the weak link, let the team down, cause underperformance issues, so I make my contributions the best that I can.
The other thing that I notice, when I am concerned about one area of the team, for example pass defense against Indiana, they have a tendency to increase productivity.
Today I am concerned about rush defense against Bucky. Take that as a good sign!
One final observation that some of us long time fans and insiders realize--When Tressel came in '01 the Ohio State University med center coronary care unit had increases in census level during Saturday afternoon's games and into the evenings, This not so shocking revelation, combined with OSU med centers sagging revenues have launched top secret negotiations which led to a sizable contract between JT and the CCU at the med center.
Not sure what the details and expectations were in that super secret contract, but was informed recently that Smith found out and insisted on a sizable cut in his AD package.
It is maddening for sure, but old time Buckeye fans are starting to realize and adapt to and prepare for the anticipated anxiety spike.
Thanks for asking, :osu:
