tOSU at Nebraska, Nov 6th, 12pm ET, FOX

Credit to my younger brother for noticing this little factoid.

Nebraska has by far the highest points-for to points-against ratio of any team in the country with a losing record. They have 3 wins of 25, 45, and 49 points. All of their 6 losses have been by 8 points or less.

They've played 3 top-10 teams and lost by a touchdown to one of them and by a field goal to each of the other two.

They've scored 47% more points than they've given up, which is the 32nd highest ratio in the country. There is one 0.500 team above them; every other team above them has at least 2 more wins than losses.

There are only 5 teams with losing records that have outscored their opponents overall. Buffalo (4-5) has scored 16% more than their opponents, good for second place among teams with losing records but very far behind 3-6 Nebraska's 47%.

Even I don't have the patience to search through historical records, but I have to wonder how many teams like this there have ever been. Most bully teams that blow out lesser opponents and lose to everyone else will occasionally get blown out. Nebraska has found a way to stay in every game until the bitter end (though it didn't really feel like they were "in" the game on a couple of occasions.)

I also wonder if their ability tendency to hang with superior teams is behind the oddly low line that Las Vegas has put on this game.

More than anything I wonder if the Buckeyes can overcome this tendency and give them a proper rogering.

My expectation:

So, looking for clarification… my words… you don’t support a contract extension for Frost?

Just checking.

Coming off another game with zero OL champions. Unsurprising, but I think we'll see Day continue to challenge them to create an inside running game. If Henderson isn't too dinged up, I could see him having another Indiana/Maryland type game, but Nebraska plays teams much closer.

Nebraska has stats that say they should be a Top 25-ish team. Top 15 in total offense and Top 50-ish in defense. They make no sense this year.

And a mediocre (depending on which defensive stat you look at) Penn State defense came into the game on Saturday and somehow managed to hold the #1 offense in the FBS to half of its average per-game point total (not including the defensive score).
So a lot of this stuff doesn't add up.
And I'm sure Nebby will play the best game of their season against us, like they did in 2018 iirc.

Nebraska is tenth in the B1G in ypp defense, and they haven’t played the Buckeyes yet. And the Ohio State offense is hungry to redeem itself.

sure, the Huskers have played 3 top 10 teams and were within a score of each of them

If they want to stay within a score of the Buckeyes, their qb will need to play the game of his life

As often happens on road trips to the West division
