tOSU at Navy (M&T Bank Stadium), Aug 30th @ 12pm ET, CBS Sports Network

"A year ago it was our stregth." Yeah. Had a Heisman contending QB, one of the best Olines in the country and Carlos Hyde. Red Zone was our bitch.

Should still be with the correct approach. *cough, cough*

Honestly..I really wasn't impressed with our O-line, Brax, and well Carlos wasn't around against Buffalo either. Sure we've had some mistakes but man there are a lot of guys getting touches..and getting yards.

That said..I expect a much better second half after the appropriate amount of ass chewing.

1st Half Observations:
THIS IS A YOUNG TEAM ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL.
We need much better pass protection by the OL. That is the BIGGEST disappointment in the first half.
Impressed with Marshall, Samuel and of course, Wilson on Offense. We got the speed down with the skill guys but need to get the power game back. JT needs to get better at decision making.
Perry has impressed on D as has Washington and Bennett. Overall, only giving up 7 pts. to a veteran Navy Offense is pretty decent.
Here's hoping for a huge 2nd half for the BUCKS...

Gonna get the backup hurt if they aren't careful. Not trying to take any credit away from a very game, veteran Navy D, but that OL is gonna get someone hurt if they aren't careful.

I think we can be very proud of the D so far this game. They have only given up one score (by negative inches) and have been up against a tough offense executing well. 3 trips to the red zone is promising as well. JT will make plays and will learn from his mistakes. The only unit I think needs to improve I'd the OL. Other than that, this game is not really going so poorly.

I don't think we can make any sort of judgment about the defense at this point. They are up against a team that does something very specific, very unique, and they do it better than any of the few others that try it. This game tells us little to nothing about how the rest of the season will go on defense.

The reality of the concerns of OG play are becoming very alarming
and Barnett is playing like... well, a red-shirt freshman
he could have got the one on that goal line play

Waiting for one of the home run threats... to hit a home run

No way to get a read on defense..

I agree. Was it inferred that I meant otherwise?

If the offense doesn't start generating some points, the defense is going to wear down towards the end of this game. The option attack is designed to pound your opponent into submission over time.

I think the problem against Buffalo was Linsley going out after the first couple of serious and OSU going fairly vanilla too soon. But yes, they still struggled. If Price can step it up in the 2nd half it will help immensely.

The d has been decent but im often wondering whose got the pitch guy. Too many biting on qst or 2nd guy and leaving 2nd or 3rd guy to consistently get yardage.

JT is about what i expected after spring game.
Oline is a nightmare.
Skill positions overall looking a lot better... but would personally like to see more rod and ez. Maybe herman doesnt trust the oline
