Yep, they're leaving tomorrow for the 14 hour bus ride to Minneapolis. Pre-game show with Script and reduced halftime show I believe...

I'm sure someone has stated the reason for these blackouts but for the slow people around here why does ESPN do this?

Id sure like to know as well. Its fucking ridiculous, they have HD cameras, they are rolling in HD, then they choose to downgrade the signal and stick it on an alternate channel?

Bandwidth issues? I think it more than doubles the data required to send an HD signal -- but then I was a Speech and Theatre major so I could avoid things like math and science.

Planning ahead is no fun - it's much better to have the first 10 minutes of the game thread littered with complaints about the TV coverage area and panicky requests for links to streams. :tongue2:

Might not be a bad idea to add the various audio/video streams to the LINKS section of the game previews.

hook your PC up to your TV. ESPN3 is pretty smooth as long as you have a decent computer and internet.

Just be prepared for the joys of HDCP.

I think they're taking 4 just for personnel, with 2 trucks meeting them there with the equipment that doesn't fit in the other buses.
