I'm befuddled as to what head coach would not have switched QBs. Except the one who was actually on the sideline.

The issue is Bollman, he has done this for years. He is not c.reative in consistent play selection that keeps the defense honest and guessing. he must be a really great guy to still be around. Other programs seem to have guys get separation with good reads on where the seams are in the defense. JT's defense and head coaching abilities covered Bollman's shortcomings. BOLLMAN HAS TO GO !

I don't know who the guy is the entire game, but I do know we would have avoided this stupid QB carousel. Miller would have gone in and stayed in had he pulled Joe.

This...remember the Boeckman/Pryor USC game. I think that if JT were here, Braxton would have been in for 3 quarters and the Miller era would have officially begun tonight.

I think I saved myself a shitload of grief tonight. I DVR'd the game and had a great day with the family. Considering the fact that I sped through the game on the DVR from the time it was 14-3 and the rest of the second half, my disappointment remains the same but my anger is gone. So many thoughts have come through my mind that have been echoed by others. My sole hope for the remainder of the season is that Braxton is given the go-ahead and we just work on improving this season with someone that can make an impact for the future. I don't have much faith in a successful B1G season right now, so let's get some confidence instilled in one who is going to be here for four years.

Yep. Let's hope Braxton gets the nod early next week and goes on to pass for 4 TD's like Mr. TP did against Troy (i think it was Troy) in his debut.

I was pretty shocked. Miller was brought in, and was moving the ball.
He was doing 20x better than Bauserman.

To a point...I mean Braxton really couldn't complete a pass either. He was moving and running, but there's only so long that you can go without actually being able to complete a single pass. I'm sure the coaches thought Bauserman was the more likely to be able to throw to the WRs...obviously, it didn't work, but I imagine that's what they were thinking. We ran the ball well, but against a 9 or 10 man front, it never would have worked for long.

The bottom line is this was a game that was screaming for them to pick someone...and they didn't. It's obvious the carousel isn't going to work with these 2 players...if this game wasn't proof of that, I don't know what will be.

Now let me ask a hypothetical question...

Same situation, same players, except JT has the headset on.
Would he have not switched QBs? I was shocked - I mean at the half, I think he was 1/9 for 4 yards or something.
On a few, the receivers weren't giving him much help, either...

I know the OSU fans around us were rather stunned by the lack of a passing game, as was I.

I don't see JT putting up with that crap for long...

I don't think Bauserman would have ever started baring injury if JT was here. He could make a tough decision like that and survive the growing pains because he's freakin Tressel. The switch from TB to TP was much tougher, Todd could actually throw well, he just made dumb throws under pressure. The choice here is pretty easy by comparison but Luke is still auditioning, so maybe the safer route seemed better. Bollman is probably running most of the show on offense anyways. This seems like something he would do.

Bull. When was he really given a chance to do so? When he was in the game, we actually moved the ball, unlike when the starter was in. Miller was 2-of-4, while the starter was 1-of-13.

Did you miss the fumble and the INT? Just because you didn't like the playcalling, doesn't mean they looked any better with him in the game with the passing game. And we didn't score any points all game, so it's not like anyone was exactly lighting it up in there.

I really do not understand why everyone keeps bringing up Urban Meyer's name. I live in Tennessee so I see a whole bunch of SEC football. Obviously never saw him when he was at Utah, but at Florida he was a one trick pony - and that pony was Tim Tebow.
Can't argue too much with his record there, but personally am not a fan and I don't see him being our answer at coach.

I have always been curious - not as the head coach obviously, but why isn't Spielman coaching at tOSU. IMO he is the epitome of a Buckeye and listening to him announce games, he may not be the most colorful, funny or whatever, but he is by far the most knowledgeable person announcing games.
Bring in Spielman to at least coach the linebackers.......he will make them the best in the nation and teach everyone what it means to be a Buckeye
