Sounds like Wegher will be out of action for about 9 months, then. I can't imagine the medical staff at Iowa would risk the fetus' well being.

Iowa's long-time DC, Norm Parker, has had his right foot amputated about two weeks ago due to complications from diabetes. He is expected to return to the coaching staff later in the season. Best of luck to him in that regard.
