It's an away game in November. I'm not taking this game lightly. They have a D-line that can get push....so it all depends on which O-line of ours shows up.

I think we can handle Stanzi's long ball, but I have concerns about the dink offense tiring our defense out.

I'm not taking it lightly either, just pointing out that Stanzi laid a big egg when the plays seemed to be there. Iowa's D-line is a concern. Stanzi on his A game is a concern. Neither of those were able to make the difference against a team that has nowhere near the talent of OSU.

I feel like our very young secondary stepped it up a notch last week in the second half and I fully expect that to stay the same and improve this week. I am not sure I see Stanzi passing all that much successfully. We win by 10 on the road.

At the beginning of the season, I thought Iowa would be the toughest game after Wisky. After watching Iowa play last week, I am convinced that Stanzi can't handle pressure. As a senior, he should have seized the opportunity to lead his team to victory. Instead, as the pressure increased, his play deteriorated like a Carson Palmer choke-fest. He will be under pressure from the kickoff, just to make up for the loss to NW. If the Buckeye front can get some decent pressure (not a given), and the secondary can contain the safe/short passes (also not a given), Stanzi could be in for a Drew Tate style meltdown. A win's a win at this point, but I wouldn't be shocked by a beat-down, a la 2005. Expecting another big game from Boom, and a second half that is all Scarlet and Gray.

or a 2006 style beatdown...38-17 in iowa city

From what I read earlier, TP is excited about the game plan. I think the whole team knows that they have to come out firing an all cylinders and keep the pressure on from there. It can't be a 2nd half game like Penn State and our players know that. We will see four solid quarters of football.

Transitive property dosen't fly.. we will get Iowa's best effort, no doubt about it. Good ol Big Ten slugfest on the lines..

I agree. Iowa is a very good team, IMO. So I'm not sure I understand all the predictions around here of an OSU 20+ point win. I'd love to see it, but I just don't think it'll happen. This game will be close, with the winner winning by less than 10 points.
