Yeah, I feel like their whole game plan against Smith was "they can't call PI on every play".

Day should probably be bitching about it more to the refs. I think OSU wants to play a little more ticky tacky too, but it seems like they get flagged way more than the competition..
The philosophy at OSU is, don't blame the refs, just perform better.

I saw it so much in baseball I am convinced it’s a human reaction- refs call the game differently for the more talented team.
It’s like they are subconsciously, or consciously, trying to make it more “fair”.

I mean it has basically been the strategy since Ryan Day took over with Hartline as the WR coach. Grab hold and pray they don't call it is what all the even the top tier talent play most of the time. Hostently after the first half we should have started toding it on IU probably would have called but it would have pointed out how absurd it was.

Interesting.... It just seems like some of the calls against OSU are egregious, and some missed calls by opponents, also egregious.
JJ seems to get mugged every game.
With that said, I also said OSU doesn't whine, they rise above and are expected to perform better.

I think so yes...I still don't know how they won a Rose Bowl in 2018 honestly. That defense was junk and that's a LOT of penalties....

If he had the arm that would’ve been a TD. JJ already split the double team and had plenty of room. But the under throw should’ve easily gotten the call.
