Game Thread tOSU at Indiana, Saturday Oct. 17, Noon ET, FOX

Not sure what I said was that outrageous. The Hoosiers were a top 7 team by any measure. The only remaining team that has an argument to be at thier level talent-wise, we play at home. To call Sayin's play before he went out "pedestrian" would be a huge compliment.

If we can't get that level of play from Fahay, yeah we are in trouble. But otherwise, we are a playoff favorite and can beat anyone with Fahey or a returning Sayin.

But have fun giving up season already.
If sayin returns we are fine. If not we are cooked.

59 minutes of plays happened ahead of it. I could easily say that IU shouldn’t have let it come down to that play.

I could easily say in a fairly called game, they would have been lucky to have it be a one score game.

I'm happy with the win. Thinking of all of the ways we could have lost is about as productive as thinking about the ways we could have won last three top-5 matchups.

I’ll say this much… I love Julian. But I’d be shocked if he comes back and somehow wins a title here.

We really do need a 6’4 235 kind of guy like Will Howard.

IMO that’s more like St. Claire but I’m pretty concerned overall.

A QB with some size allows for a few things the smaller QBs just can’t do.
statically speaking … 6’3” is avg height of Natty QBs from ’06-‘25

What I don't get is some of the coaches and players after the game going around saying "we found a way to win...". No, you didn't find a way to win. Indiana found a way to lose.

You can be proud that you didn't tuck and run. But getting beat by a mile, on the last play of the game and needing one of the other team's top 2 receivers to have a brain fart and not get his foot inbounds, is not "we found a way to win".

This performance doesn't deserve chest-pounding. We didn't win because we showed grit. We won because Indiana's streak of luck flipped.

After the worst roughing call I’ve seen and a terrible no call hold on that throw, I think that’s bullshit. Especially after having a lead for the entire 2nd half.

I get that it wasn’t a pretty win, there are injuries, and this isn’t a championship team, but god damn. This was their first home loss and only their 3rd loss in 3 years, 2 now by OSU. They probably have the best OC/DC pair by far because none of them will fucking leave. Also, poor ole Indiana has two top 15 draft picks out wide and one of the better OLs.

Do what you will, but there’s not much pointing watching these games if you’re going to treat a huge win as a borderline loss.

Jesus, that was a fucking rock fight. This isn't a national championship team. Happy for the win, but they are going to need to make some huge strides to have a hope of making a run in the playoffs.
"Huge strides" is right. I agree that they don't look like a national championship team. But when did you think the 2002 team looked like one? There wasn't a single point after any of the first 13 games that I thought they had a chance of hanging with Miami.
They have a lot of improvements to make. Maybe losing Sayin for a couple of weeks is the 2026 version of 2024 losing to the cheaters.
