tOSU at Indiana, Sat. 9/2, 3:30pm EST, CBS

Henderson has always been frustrating to watch. It's 1 yard loss followed by a 2 yard gain and then hopefully followed by a 30 yard run. If he's not breaking those big runs he's highly ineffective.
He’s just not an effective back with how we are utilizing him. Can’t remember who said it but I agree that Henderson should be our change of pace back who can be a threat out of the backfield in the throw game.

I hate saying this but he reminds me of Lydell Ross but much faster as far as his vision goes.

I’ve been a critic of Henderson but he’s coming off surgery with a line that looked slow off the line. Get him to the LoS without being hit ..he’ll be fine. 7 and 44 never got blocked …someone on the line(Jones Jackson need to get to the second level.

That's true but I'm not basing this just off that. I watched him play in HS and now 2 years + 1 game at OSU. Maybe 3rd down back is wrong label. Just seems in Ryan Days offense he won't flourish like maybe Miyan or Chip. I'm most likely wrong but that's where I am at as a fan.

I don't blame incompetent people for being incompetent.

I blame the people that hire/retain the clearly incompetent.

On the ST note, Proctor is going to cost us a big return (or more) against a good team. He is an absolute train wreck when asked to run down field and cover a kick. He plays too high, doesn't break down to make the tackle and just goes flying harmlessly by (unless he takes out one of our guys then I guess by definition his launch wasn't harmless).

Six years. Six fucking years. How do competent coaches not know what they have with a player after six years?
And yet he had a good game from what I saw. That is why he is retained.

Hendo had some shifty moves, but yeah got stuffed too many times in the backfield. I think Oline has a bit to do with that. But also, he doesn't seem to turn it on until he is past the LOS.

He doesn't have tackle breaking power. So he's not going to shrug off a hit in the backfield the same way miyan or chip will. He's got to make them miss or let him get going downhill

It seemed like Simmons was beat off the ball quite a few times in the first half but didn’t notice as much in the 2nd half. I do think that had some to do with our negative plays, but that transfer from WMU is going to be a disruptive for IU.

Monday morning look back: 1. It's still a win. 2. Reminded me of Woody v the fans during an opening game; fans, "Open it up, Woody! Throw the ball!" Woody, "Run that damn ball off tackle till we get it right. I'm not showing anything new till we get to the Michigan game." Once at the Michigan game he ran the same offense he opened the season with. It's essentially what Harbaugh has done the last two seasons. 3. I didn't hear Timaloau or Sawyer's names much. Will someone who knows more about the game than I do tell me why that was. 4. Defensive backs looked vastly improved. 5. Offensive line has not yet jelled. 6. General lack of concern or emotion by the Bucks - let's just get out there, do our job, and get back to home and the air-conditioning.

Neither did 1. IU schemed against the ground game really well. Kirk Barton’s breakdown was solid imo. Several times IU defenders were at the LOS untouched. There’s nothing anyone can do in that situation not even Nick Chubb.
