Edit - Just saw the post above mine. That's not a good guess by IU in certain areas. Styles is starting per Knowles and unless Tyleik is hurt, I wouldn't see Hamilton starting.

Proud of the defense. Great game by them. Hard to have concerns cause it’s game one. I will say maybe people will appreciate strouds first game as a buckeye vs what we saw. Stroud then….was ripping it down the field. I don’t give a shit if there was a misread or pick. He was ripping. That’s my concern with McCord. He don’t rip it. Will it come? I don’t know. Not playing brown looks like it’s all McCord. Henderson I don’t know. Chip…love him.

The check down concerns are understandable now after seeing game 1. Way too many throws underneath and that was a domino into our running game.

Shoot we didn’t even try to throw down the field really. I understand we were nervous with a first time started but as you pointed out we let CJ rip it.

Really the only disappointment is we didn’t play Devin and the excuse was that the game felt clunky? Well yeah… we practiced 2 QBs all off season so no shit it was clunky out there.

On the bright side the back 7 was outstanding all day long on defense.

Now that I think about it the years were 87 and 88, not 88 and 89.

Minuses for me were the Oline and starting DLine. Oline was pedestrian and DLine got no pressure at all until late in the game.

They also threw like 8 passes till late in the game. So I think the D-line here is getting a bad wrap

One of the bright sides was seeing Tate out there. Reminds me of Garrett Wilson in that he's both sudden and smooth

I think the lack of downfield throws hurts Henderson more than the power backs. He isn't as suited for playing in a phone booth as Mayan and Chip.

Maybe, didn’t see much pressure on the QB. It was an issue last year too.
