If Braxton plays, we got this. Boom is going to make the running game alot better. The silver bullets will rebound. Mark it down. Ill bet all of my Vbucks we win as long as Braxton plays. Suck it zooker, were coming to spoil your season
I agree, Braxton = W, Baus = 12+ sacks and a L.

Fickel has ben quoted as saying that Boom might or might not see the field as a RB this week, more probably as special teams. I myself doubt that he is in "game" condition.
As far as Bauserman is concerned I don't pretend to know more than the coaches as to who should play. I would bet they have a reason for playing him over Kenny or anyone else, I haven't been particularly pleased with Baus myself bit I'm not going to second guess the coaches over it.

I don't see how anyone could possible play worse than Joe has the last four games: 12-40-1, 140 yards, 1 TD. That's a 30% competion rate, a 62.65 passiing efficiency rating, and 3.5 yards per pass attempt. I'd like to think that you don't have to be an FBS coach to see that someone else should be out on the field.

And to add to that, he's 3-24 with 1 INT, for 26 yards on the road.

He could likely run for more yards than that per play...

Put him at running back or wide receiver!!1!11!

Why wouldn't Boom be in game condition? Adams played pretty well last weekend. As well as Hall and Hyde have played, Boom clearly is the #1 running back on this team, both in talent and in experience. Considering the fact that I've been reading that the Illini's rush defense may be their weak point, I think it would be a serious mistake by the coaching staff not to have Boom be the feature back this weekend.

As a general rule, I agree with the whole "don't second guess the coaches" concept. However, this is the exception to the rule. When just about every single commentator, fan, etc. says that Bauserman's struggles cause OSU's offense not to be able to move the ball, it's probably time to conclude that they just might be right. And it's even more obvious when you ask an opposing fan what matchups they're hoping to exploit, and the first thing out of their mouth is "I'm obviously hoping for Joe Bauserman." (http://www.elevenwarriors.com/2011/10/across-the-field-illinois). Couple that with the really bad stats posted above, and I'm not sure how you can't second guess the coaches on this one.
