Pretty sure COVID testing isn’t left up to the school to do in a vacuum.

Most likely scenario is that someone in the WHAC fucked up and broke the protocols that had been working up til this point.

Trying to assign blame for a virus as contagious as Covid is worthless and irresponsible IMO. Anyone can get it, being as safe as possible....you can literally catch it without leaving your own apartment...ever. Because it travels through air vents. So playing blame game isn’t useful.

Seems we made right decision in cancelling today’s game although the W would’ve put is in great position for Big 10 Championship.

If we can somehow get MSU in + Michigan game, and do so without a loss, the Big 10 title game is gravy IMO. If we just get 1 of MSU or Michigan + the cross match-up the week of Big 10 title (which some people seem to be forgetting) we are in CFP as long as we have 0 losses. They will not keep an undefeated OSU team loaded with talent out.....

ESECSECSECPN's beauty pageant is about getting eyeballs on the TV, not about the product on the field ultimately.

It happens to play out in our favor but it is what it is.

Bill Lucas, hope you're correct, but read article in BSB that states the B10 has mandated (?) that six games need to be played to be eligible for B10 championship. The Nati says they'll 'take into consideration' the number of games, etc. etc. Regardless, we are all hoping/praying that the Buckeyes don't leave anything to 'personal judgement' on the part of the officials making these decisions....go Bucks!

Correct....in recent years past, ESPN calling shots on CFP was a disaster for the Big 10/OSU bc of ratings war with Fox and longterm implications for the arms-race contracts that have been given out (with ACC and SEC in bed with ESPN). But this is a weird time for ESPN.....sports ratings have been in absolute shitter, I’m sure they’re sweating the contracts they already agreed too, and tumbling ratings are their worst nightmare. Bad ratings = poor revenue.

ESPN cannot have NBA playoff/MNF/MLB ratings disaster with CFP. They’ve already decreased pay of all executives on top of top 100 paid on air “talents” taking a pay cut, on top of a 10% layoff that’s been executed.

They need OSU for this playoff. They all want it....
