Game Thread tOSU at Illinois, Nov 16, 12 ET, ESPN

Really? Aside form his SCUM heritage aside, at least Greasebag did not openly harp on the Buckeyes. Everything he's said about the BCS is spot on, including how a 1 loss team has never jumped a undefeated BCS team.
I enjoyed how he spent a few minutes at the end of the first half going point by point through why FSU is better than OSU. I especially enjoyed the gem about how OSU's only rusher was Spence (and FSU has so many by comparison)- those talking points were obviously written pre-game because Bosa's three first half sacks weren't mentioned.

I hope the kickback he got from his ESPN overlords goes towards a good cause.

You can bitch about the game all you want. I'll take 60-35, 10-0, 22-0 all day long.
I'll take 60-35, 10-0, 22-0 all day long, too...but the "bitching" about the shitty play after the first quarter is totally warranted. The team simply got lackadaisical once they got up big early, and that's not acceptable at all.

The defense is the weak link. The back 7 couldn't cover my grandmother and luckily they don't have to. Roby should have gone last year because he's headed to undrafted free agent territory. That said... Ohio State has EL GUAPO. LOS: The best damn BACK in the land!!!!!!!!!

I think it was partially the wind and partially communication being off with WRs. I'm not worried about him throwing it in Indy. Didn't help that there were 4-5 40+ yard throws downfield that were basically wasted downs. Don't get the point in those at that stadium.
Play calling on offense needs to adjust during the game just like it does on defense. Need to recognize the day Hyde and Braxton were having running the ball and the struggles in the passing game, wind, and wanting to shorten the game and keep the D off of the field.

With the wind being a factor, why didn't they throw more shorts passes to TE, slot receivers etc. Instead of the long balls that sailed.

I still really hate the read option when you can just turn around, hand the ball off, block straight ahead and gain 5+ a pop.

The slow developing reads open up the offense to blitzes and mistakes, especially when Braxton isn't particularly "on".

I understand that is the bread and butter play of the offense, but when things aren't going right and Braxton is not doing so well at something he has never been so great at in the first place, I'd really like to see them go away from those plays a lot quicker.
