I hear what your saying but it should. It's a beauty pageant and we can't assume other teams will lose. That's just the shitty way it goes now.

D looks suspect but we did drop 2 easy picks that kept drives alive. It's a win and I'll take it. Offense looked great!! Kenny stepped in and did his job amazingly!! Happy camper here!:groove:

Also love how they say that SEC winner is automatically in the Natl title game and us peasants of other conferences get the pleasure to play(lose) them.

Didn't Urban have to take a more active interest in the D last season for the very same reasons? Looks like pretty much the same situation now. Can't be good for the D staff. At what point does the shine wear off of Fickell?

Yeah I noticed the (paraphased) quip of if the buckeyes keep winning, they will go on to play an as yet unknown SEC team in the championship... what a load of shit.

This has not been a Silver Bullet defense for a while, and with the changes in the rules and changes in the way the game is played I wonder if we'll ever see a Silver Bullet defense again even after the apparent issues are fixed.

I lament the lack of tackling fundamentals and I'm disgusted by how much I see guys bounce off defenders and keep going. I don't like how the Ohio State defenses rarely seems to dictate what the other team does anymore.

That said, Cal got the benefit of just about every lucky break this game had to offer, ran every trick play in their book and needed to have three layers of fakes or misdirection in every play just to hang in there and do what they did.

I'm glad that this game's behind them and that they came out with a win.
