Thats bullshit. You cant take a charge underneath the basket. Hummel was clearly within a foot of the cylinder there.

Clark was spot on. I think the NCAA needs to bring in the rule from the NBA where if your inside the halo under the basket it's not a charge.

You talk about the 5 second call not being needed, the charge is bullshit. It was put in the game for player control. It's meant for the offensive player that lowers a shoulder or goes to the hopp completely out of control and runs a set defender over.
Duke has turned it into an art-form where you get set under an undercontrol player and try and draw a charge. It is ridiculous, and it is dirty. It is an undercut.
The best thing the NBA has done in a long time is put the circle under the hoop. A great move by Evan is negated by a dirty undercut, where he slides under Evan after he has left his feet. Just a dumb, stupid rule.

The entire reffing structure in the NCAA is a fucking joke and has been for a while. Until that loser in Indianapolis (Myles Brand) decides to get off his ass and do something about it instead of worrying about the academics of kids who have declared for the NFL or NBA and have given up their eligibility (the point here is the focus should be on the kids that ARE still in school, not the ones leaving) and not his rapidly deteriorating officiating, eventually the golden goose is going to crap out.
