Wasn't contested they guy was a good 3-4 steps away which is plenty of room to get it off uncontested. However as stated it could be a comfort thing. Buford tends to shoot a lot more off the bounce rather than a catch and shoot and by the time he got a dribble down the guy would of been on him on the 3pt line.

I think that's just the rhythm of Buford's game. He has always excelled at the pull up jumper off of the bounce which is a difficult shot to master and defend.
