I've got to say, I am incredibly sick of Big Ten officiating. That wasn't a foul on Battle, and that wasn't just a foul on Buford. Last weekend I watched a handful of Big Ten and Big East games, and the difference in officiating is remarkable. You're allowed to get away with murder in the Big East, while in the Big Ten sometimes it feels like a foul is called in certain situations merely because the ref anticipated contact. On the one hand, I think Big East teams get used to getting away with overly physical play, and that hurts them come tourny time. On the other hand, it's a whole hell of a lot more enjoyable to watch than the ticky-tack fouls constantly called by Big Ten refs, who appear to believe thousands tune in and show up to watch them, as opposed to the players.
EDIT: And a horse shit call against Sully who was just establishing position.
