I know we are fans and we are going to/have every right to throw out prognositcations on what this team needs to do to get it together. But I think we need to face this fact: This team is not as good as we thought it was. Or Matta is not getting the most from them. Either way, we need to adjust our expectations accordingly. If we make a run in the tourney, it will be because we exceed expectations at this point.

That discussion has been going on for a couple weeks. I think most folks get it but during a game emotions take over.

I still find it funny that people are calling for the bench...

in the times they have played, what have they done to prove they needed more time?

I'm still trying to figure out what the people who oppose more time for the bench think the majority of the 7-deep has done over the last month and a half to warrant continued time.

Down 9 at the half is ok, msu played well. Play a bit better d on the fast breaks and hit a few more shots.

I have more confidence in us playing better d than I do in us hitting more shots. I wouldn't get your hopes up on that shared title.

hate to say it, but i'm bordering on giving up hope on buford. i see a game devoid of accuracy, confidence, and intelligence. i like buford as a person and think he's battling some ugly demons, but the earlier breakout game appears all for naught.

don't even get me started on scott. i know he's a freshman, but i think that matta may be needing a 2013 point guard. scott simply has no idea what he's doing on offense. none. i'd like to see a spark of "getting it" from shannon. i can't recall seeing that "a ha" moment in any recent game.

Indeed sometimes people need to sit to get their head right. It's not like we're missing that much when they aren't playing well to start with.

Thad has always played a short bench and given his record I don't think he's going to change his approach. I'm not "opposed to" or "in favor of" playing more guys off the bench because it's a moot point. Thad isn't going to do it.
