So, I assume, you're saying they didn't have just as many comedic calls against them? Oooooooookay.
I'm saying their atrocious calls in the first half against Sullinger basically stole the game from us. Whosyers were dispirited until Sully had to sit.

Oooooooookay?????

Yep, so much so that it was a one point game at the half, and they had six minutes with Sully at the end to put Indiana away. The officiating absolutely impacted the game, but to say that the first half calls "stole the game" is taking away from the fact IU simply outplayed tOSU when it counted. But if it helps you deal, knock yourself out.

Yes, there were bad calls against both teams, but I didn't seem to see their three best scorers on the bench for over 10+ minutes.....
They played their's with just as many fouls, Matta chose to sit ours. I understand the logic in that choice, but it didn't work.

Not true, other than Zeller who fouled out no Indiana starter had more than two fouls....

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one....
We will get even in C-Bus......

I'm sorry you feel the need to act like a dick here. But if acting like a dick makes you feel better about yourself, knock yourself out.

Sully, Thomas, and Buford were all sitting with two un the first half, IIRC. I thought Watford and Jones did (had two), at least I recall the graphic showing that. I could be wrong. But, they were calling everything on everybody they threw at Sully early, I do know that.

17 TOs What was our most last year? We need to run the offense through Sully..last year Diebler made a lot of entry passes from the wing and ended up with 3's when they collapsed on Sully..we need more of this with Buford on the wing..Craft driving the lane should not be our best option..

It was Pritchard and Hulls and Hulls didnt get his 2nd until there was less than three minutes left in the half, Pritchard was on the bench with 3. Indiana didnt have anyone of any importance on the bench for most of the first half and only 2 guys with more than 1 foul. We had our top 3 scorers out for a big chunk of the first half. I think that, and the combination of a whistle being blown for something every 15 seconds definitely affected the flow of the game and our young guys getting in any sort of rythm since they were in a position they weren't accustomed to being in and contbuted to the inordinately high number of turnovers. I am all for the argument that you have to adjust, but the refs definately had a major influence on the outcome of this game to the point that the ESPiN talking heads were even making thinly veiled comments about it. AND THAT WAS JUST THE FIRST HALF. The shit officiating continued until the last few minutes, when the refs apparently had reached their quota of bullshit calls. The box score does not always do a good job of telling the tale of the tape. If you look at the sheer number of fouls called period, that in and of itself was telling, but it was how the calls were distributed, the timing of them, and the inconsistency of the calls that were being made that was equally perplexing. And it wasn't just the fouls. Bottome line is the refs should get a failing grade for that pathertic performance, and thats exactly what it was, a performance.

Pretty much. It's just a complete joke the way this conference officiates. There's rarely ever any consistency at all...unless you consider "call everything for 34 minutes" "consistency". I said last year that B10 Basketball was often borderline unwatchable because of the [censored]-poor officiating (mind you, I'm not saying biased, just terrible), and looks like more of the same this year. The league office should be ashamed.

Bingo. Big 10 bball officiating has been horrible for years. Tonight was just the latest example of how little the Big 10 values good officiating and/or accountability. OSU played the last 6-7 min of the first half without Sully, WB and Thomas. That's a joke. An the fact that IU was the victim of horrible calls doesn't make it any better. The Big 10 front office needs to start paying attention.
