tOSU -3.5 at Indiana (ov/un 138.5) Sat 6 ET, ESPN2

Guys, really, the officiating was horrible, but IU has just as much to gripe about. It was bad both ways. They just worked through it and played better when the refs finally swallowed their whistles the last 5-6 minutes.

The refs set the tone for this game and dictated much of the way Ohio State had to play. It was still winnable though. Maybe with sensible refs the Buckeyes could have gotten away with some of their sloppiness.

That pisses me off as much as anything. They strangled this game within an inch of its life and then completely washed their hands of it at the end. Like you said though, credit to IU for getting the job done.

Pretty much. It's just a complete joke the way this conference officiates. There's rarely ever any consistency at all...unless you consider "call everything for 34 minutes" "consistency". I said last year that B10 Basketball was often borderline unwatchable because of the piss-poor officiating (mind you, I'm not saying biased, just terrible), and looks like more of the same this year. The league office should be ashamed.

The way that was reffed made that painful to watch.

Reminded me of the game at the Kohls Center against Wiscy last year. Home cooking that Bo Ryan told Buckeye Nation to "deal with it". On the return leg, Ohio State shoots the lights out and wins a laugher by more than 30, which Ryan and co. had to "deal with". Expecting something similar in the Schott on January 15th.
