McDonough did a fantastic job of announcing. I think that he used to work with Spielman on ESPN? Would explain the wealth of emotion that he poured out during the broadcast. Even if he didn't, a man lost his wife this week. That's enough to make me and any emotional human being tear up.
Correct, they used to be partnered up on broadcasts up until about two years ago so Sean was very close to the situation and knew the Speilman's very well. Kudos to both Sean and Matt Millen on the broadcast today, very well done and I have to say I enjoy it when they call our games. Millen I think has done a great job doing color commentary this year, very insightful, interesting stories and enjoyable to listen to.

Tater might recover, but I'm not sure he has a chance in RR's system once Devin gets his feet under him.
Ha. DickRod has gone through, what, eight QBs in two years? What gives anyone the idea any QB not named Pat White will measure up to his standards? Or more to the point, has a chance to develop into competency under DickRod's "leadership?"

Awesome to get the 6th in a row...it seems such distant past that we were consistently losing this game. Partly because it is  But I can't wait for the Rose Bowl...'twas a good season but January 1st could make it great. Great job guys and as always, it is a great day to be a Buckeye! :osu:

In case you were unaware, many UM fans would like to remind you that UM would have won the game without the missed FG & fumbled loaf of bread by Tater. Clearly OSU would have used the same exact gameplan if UM was closer...

Query for someone (*cough* BB73 *cough*)....when did they start referring to it as "five men in the backfield" instead of "fewer than 7 men on the line of scrimmage" or "only 6 men on the line of scrimmage"?

FUCK MICHIGAN!

This year is the first I've heard it.

They'll also point out that yards gained were very close between the two teams. And they'll say it fully believing that that means anything.

Same bullshit, different week. Iowa would have won, Penn State would have won, Wisconsin would have won... Blah, blah, blah... If you WOULD HAVE won, why didn't you? Prove it on the field... Not on a message board.

I liked him on TV before he became the Lions' GM, but I continue to like Matt Millen's commentary.

I especially like his comment regarding the pants and 300-lb. linemen.

And I give credit to Dennis Dodd. He doesn't hide his distaste for Ohio State (by picking Michigan).

Millen does a good job. You can hear his favortism for UM on occasion, but he's a pretty fair, respectful announcer who adds to the broadcast instead of detracting from it, by and large.
