Bleh they had it set up to dump to Thomas and then Shannon loses his mind for a second

No they didn't. Thomas should not have been the inbounder and trailing with that little time left on the clock. It made him too easy to defend. He should have been at the other end of the court running off of multiple screens.

I love Matta and the coaching staff but that last set was silly. Craft was running away from the ball with no chance to get it and Thomas was trailing 15 feet behind.

It wasn't really a comment on whether it would of worked or if it would of been a great look but that definately looked like it was the play. The idea was for Shannon to go more to the basket and either get the quick two or if they closed down on him kick to thomas I think. it just didn't work that way.

Low post scorer and a strong rebounder. We get our hands on so many only to let them slip away

Glad it's not just me seeing that.

Rav and Amir have to posses the weakest set of hands I've ever seen on big men. It's so bad I've wondered aloud if it's not a S&C issue. It's uncanny.

It'll be interesting to see how many posters get ban hammered bashing Scott.

Twitter sure blew up

Obviously it was an epically bad decision, but this is the downside of having 1 shooter (DT). Makes your end of game offense very one-dimensional.

Scott was our third best player today no need to bash him for one mistake. Craft was good on defense and Thomas was amazing. The others I'm not so sure what they were doing.

Especially for a mistake it was obvious he knew he made as soon as the game was over. Kid played his heart out. He made a mistake. Many people made mistakes in this game. His just happened at the very end making it easier for people to focus on and blame.

Hell of a college basketball game!

Why in all that is holy did LaQuinton Ross not get more PT? We had only one scoring option most of the game. Ross would have given us two. Big boner by Matta IMO.

Craft played for the most part like Gary Harris's bitch. Problem. He needs to step up his game - made a slew of awful decisions on O, including a bunch of ill-considered passes. (He's still a heck of a defender most of the time, but he can't continue to give the opposition the luxury of having Buckeyes short-handed while on offense.)

Shannon Scott - Buckeyes are better when he's on the floor. His bonehead error at the end of the game shouldn't detract from that fact. He's a heck of a point guard, and getting better all the time.

The back-and-forth between Craft and Appling was classic! Stuff like that is why I'm a college hoop fan. And although I'd much rather the Buckeyes won, I still have to give Izzo and Sparty their props. They're a joy to watch, even if I believe the Buckeyes are a better squad overall.

Great game. Looking forward to the rematch on Feb 24. It's great to have a rivalry in football where we hate the opponent (Wolverines); it's also great to have a rivalry in hoop where we almost like them (Sparty). I love Izzo, love his teams, just not like I love my Buckeyes.

Yes he's raw and sometimes bonehead but I agree. Him and Thompson need to get us more time when Lenzelle doesn't have it on offense.

I've been calling Rav stone hands ever since he became eligible - both big guys have the same problems: no touch/dexterity and just plain weak hands - they both unnecessarily knock balls out of bounds all the time.

Thomas is a treat to watch, but if this team is going anywhere - Craft needs to be able to hit open shots and they need better production out of either Rav or Williams - still a lot of season left for them to get better
