Yeah because they always ignore the #1 team in the country :slappy:
So I guess the corollary is, "How great to have our Buckeyes be the #1 team in the country."

Perhaps on-topic, perhaps not: this business of using anything as an excuse to bash ESPN and its media mates as "disrespecting" the Buckeyes is tedious. :so: :so: Many fans around the country are probably tired of seeing Jared Sullinger featured 24/7. I, on the other hand, am not.

I think the Buckeyes are getting a pretty good run in the media, and I'm enjoying it immensely. Life is awfully good these days for a Buckeye fan. :osu:

Life is good, but if you think for one second the media actually respects Ohio State like it would a multitude of other teams that could be #1 right now but aren't, you're kidding yourself.

To be perfectly honest, I think you're taking this lane in the road to be contrarian.

You're paranoid. Buckeyes get the same treatment as anyone else. Paranoid fans look silly to fans of other teams (who are, themselves, paranoid in the same way).

"Nobody gives us our due!" :bicker: I think this must be the mating call of the sports fan, world-wide.

With the notable exception of Luke Winn, every single mediot in the CBB media has doubted Ohio STate in some way from day one.

They can ALL kiss the ORIGINAL pasty pale ass.

Every single wonk on ESPN (and they interviewed like 6 or 7 for the segment) said we would lose to Wisconsin. Every one. I'd love to pour them all a nice tall glass of [censored] sauce and get a big W.

None of them were even the least bit hesitant about their picks. It's as if we couldn't possibly even make it a close game.

40-2 going back to last season. Largest victory margin in the country while gutting out the close wins when necessary. Replaced the national poy with the possible next national poy. Great mix of freshman talent and seasoned vets. Multiple plunger rapes of ranked teams at home and on the road.

If this were Duke, all of ESPN would by hyping them 24/7 as the greatest team ever. I don't mind flying under the radar, but it's pretty clear to me that ESPN's official line on the Buckeyes is to give them the minimal amount of exposure while waiting (hoping) for them to lose. The difference will be more than noticeable the moment Duke, a Big East team or their current bitch Texas takes over the number one spot. Hell, Gameday made it more than evident that the spin doctors are chomping at the bit to get one of "their" teams into the number one spot.

hoping for a win

Tough game today. I believe the Bucks CAN win, and I don't WANT them to lose...

It's just so tough winning every freaking game. I feel like I'm holding my breath under water and it's going on three minutes and I've never been past two and a half minutes.

I also would rather lose today, finish 37 and 1 with a Natl championship (or whatever the number would be) than finish 35 and 1 and lose in the second round of the tournament.

It's like wathcing one of those frisbee-catching dogs at half time... you KNOW he can catch each one, and he seems to catch every one but you expect him, eventually, to drop one.

I love the fact that Lauderdale had a big game against Minny, and I would love to get another double digit game from him. And, one of his great skills in my opinion is blocking three point shots. Very tough to do without fouling. If he gets 4 or 5 blocks today, that really changes the game.

I thinks about 74-66 tOSU.

I'm hoping that Tim Doyle's 'stache, which is still looking a little weak, ends up looking like this:

He has stated he won't shave it until the Buckeye basketball team loses.

you know they will be clamoring about how Ohio State is "overrated" if they lose this game....but continue to pump Big East teams like Syracuse and Villanova who lose to powers such as Seton Hall and Rutgers (and also jerking off Duke as well)
