They were fighting for position, then Lighty got the shove.

Hardly a double foul in my book. Do you think they call a foul there if Lighty did not get the final shove? If so, why didn't they call the foul when they were just fighting for position?

What drew the foul on Lighty was his elbow connecting with the defenders throat.

Just because two guys are "fighting for position" doesn't necessarily make it go on the defense every time. He has just as much right to that spot as the guy on offense. You get position with your body/feet - not with your arms/hands.
