"Top Senior" / NFL Lists (Is Troy Smith an NFL QB?)

I'm guessing if he has a mediocore season, he will go in the first round. Scouts love speed and Ginn has lots of it. Jonathan Joseph went in the first round this year with lots of raw potential.(Not sure if this is a good comparison) I assume that Ginn will probably do the same.

Except I'm guessing and being optimistic that he will have a very good year this year. I'm not completely sure how Ginn's career will play out when he goes to the NFL, but a guy I think he compares to is Dante Hall. However, I see him being a bit of a better receiver in the NFL.

Mike Hart # 6???? there is no way he is going to be that good this year. he will always be hurt. chris wells would take his starting spot in a heart beat up there.
Mike Hart's problem -- any Michigan RB's problem -- isn't just injury, it's the lack of legit deep threats in the passing game; that's just Football 101 -- eight men in the box.

It's not a coincidence that Hart's production dropped once Braylon Edwards was gone and Breaston struggled with injury. I don't think anyone was really terrified of Avant. Hart will be successful if Manningham and Bass become big play threats, and Breaston isn't injured for half their games.

McShay had a bunch more rankings, including underclassmen.

Pittman was not among the top 15 RBs. Darius Walker was 13th, Mike Hart 6th.

That pisses me off so much. No respect for Pittman. I can't wait to see him kick ass next year and make these douchebags look stupid. There is no real knocks on Pittman. He has a good height for a runningback, solid weight, good speed(4.4 range), power, vision, and of course, the production to show for it.

I get tired of hearing about Pittmans lack of ability to score. he had 18 carries in 12 games inside the 10 last year. ( of these came in the last 5 games). He was stopped for a loss twice all year. He was stopped for no gain only 3 other times. His last 11 carries from the 10 on in went for 30 yards and 4 TDs.

Nobody ever criticizes Archie for only scoring 4 TDs his senior year. Why so much flak for Pitt as a Sophomore???

7 touchdowns...

Not knocking Schnittker or anything, but if Pittman got Brandon's 1 and 2 yard TDs and scored on the two that Schnittker fumbled inside the 1 (I about died), then Antonio's TD total automatically shoots up to 11 or 12.

On top of this, I think everyone pretty much made great comments on Troy's contributions inside the 10 and how our offense uses him as the #1 threat in the redzone.

Haha, I know I did too, also because I was there.

Pittman will really bloom this year, now that he has another year under his belt, and the offense has much more of a rhythm.

The only thing that is going to hold Pittman back is CWells, depending on his # of carries, who I predict will also be a force to be reckoned with this season  .

I would agree that CWells might take away from Pittman's production, especially in the redzone, but to me, that's not a bad predicament to be in. Do we give it to the proven stud, or the young horse who could carry 4 or 5 guys in from a yard out?

On a Troy note...I think if he plays the majority of this season (minus an off game or two) like he did versus Michigan and Notre Dame, there is no way (regardless of height) that he doesn't get some late first round looks. It also will depend on what the NFL teams will be looking for coming into next year's draft. For example...1 receiver taken in the first round this year vs. 5 the prior year. Of course a lot of this has to do with player value, but team need is obviously a huge element in where players are taken as well.

Well, of course, it's not a bad thing for the team at all, having two quality players at the same position. I actually think they will push each other to become better, but for all of those people out there who need booming stats to recognize a good player, they might not get it if CWells starts to get a lot of carries.

Personally, what I can see possibly happening is split carries like Bush and Lendale White, last year with USC. While I think that Pittman will get the majority of the carries, I think it's possible that Wells could get 10-15 carries a game, and Pittman gets 15-20 carries a game. While I think that 15 carries a game for Wells is a stretch, I think that they will balance it out, where Pittman has a 2:1 ratio, compared to Wells. It should be very interesting to see the situation play out.
